Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

She's well worn but still tight, solid and snappy  That's what I like about the old Sheffield knives, they were made to use hard and still last a very long time
I imagine Charlie, well-worn bone is so lovely and smooth :) Hope you don't have much to worry about though my friend ;) :)

Here's a well-worn Alfred Blackwell, gifted to me by rockman0 rockman0 Rob :)

Spam and brussel sprouts for the win.
Oh man, I LOVE brussel sprouts, especially cooked in garlic.
True story: I walked into my house yesterday and was overcome by a horrible stench. I fell to my knees and gasped for air as I tried to assess the situation and take action to survive. My first thought was "Oh no, did a limburger cheese bomb explode in my home?" then "Yikes, I think there was a sewage line rupture!" then "Lord have mercy, El Nino must have carried the flatulence from every head of cattle in the United States and guided it all directly to my home!" Then I realized my wife made brussel sprouts.

It with emotion bordering on sorrow that I have to report there is a hole in Dylan's "modest assortment" that he posted up about a month ago.

Here is my rather modest assortment so far (destined to continue growing, I'm sure).

Glamour shot!

apparently the second knife from the left was not gnarly enough to "make the cut" for him and as of today will be occupying space in my pocket.

I greatly appreciate the unexpected generosity as I've been very curious about this pattern for some time but until now had not had the opportunity to hold one in my hand.
Thanks Dylan!

Alright, I think I have everyone who's given me their info so far added to THE MAP. If I've missed anyone who requested to be added, please let me know. And if you haven't yet requested to be added and you want your pin on there, just let me know where to put it and I'll add you!

I'm late to the party, but please add a pin for Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to the map if possible. This is a cool idea!

I've updated the map to include r redden r redden and DCMcElroy DCMcElroy . You may notice that our map is a little less colorful than it was. I ran into a bit of a snag with the setting was that was automatically assigning uniquely colored pins to each person, so for now we're back to all having the same color pin. I may go in and just randomly assign colors on my own, because I liked it when it was more colorful; if I do, the Reservoir Dogs "Mr. Pink" rule still applies. ;) :D

Figured out a solution that I'm pretty happy with. Now we've all got our avatars from BF as markers on the map.

Mine is the one whose blade is touching Jody's bolster.

Here we go Randy :)

If I do, I think I'll disappoint Kamagong and file the nose back instead of up.

That's the way to do it Jer, even though it's a lot more work

Congratulations, hope you like the pattern :) Well done Dylan

Thanks, Rob I remember growing up on the farm, breakfast was like that every day plus a whole lot more! :D But then again, you went out and worked it off.:p

I loved hard work as a young 'un - the novelty has kind of worn off now! :D The first few jobs I had, I had to travel a long way to work, and start early (probably not as early as on the farm!). We'd work for an hour or two, then have breakfast. The best place I worked, we had a subsidised canteen that did huge breakfasts at a bargain price. I couldn't eat like that these days, but as a kid you can really put it away :D

Well done for taking on this project Barrett :) You deserve a mention in dispatches my friend ;)

Didn't think I'd get a chance to post this morning, but I got up an hour and a half before my alarm clock is set. Treating myself to a Double Lambsfoot Day today! :D Have a great weekend folks

re: " I loved hard work as a young 'un" you know Jack you're right!  I think when I hit 60 the party was over :( Those hard working days no matter what you were doing were fun.:D

Good morning everyone! A small teasing today, my very first lambsfoot was delivered a few minutes ago! I need to work a little bit on the blade, so you'll get proper pictures when it's done and ready. But I'm already loving this thing! It's bigger than I expected it to be, and that's a pleasant surprise!

I've never used this function of Google Maps, but maybe it'll work for this?
Guardian's of the Lambsfoot THE MAP

I can now officially ask: can you please add a pin in France? :)

I think the strikes are just on Saturday David, but they look like they could run for a while still. Are you going over to York for the Viking Festival next month? That's another lovely pic

Morning Jack, no I wasn't going to bother with the Viking Festival this year. I think we mentioned last year it's nowhere near as good as it used to be :(. But, more importantly, my February will be taken up with this:

:D:D:D

Although the strikes are only on Saturday, the weekday service is still atrocious. There's still delays and cancellations all the time, so before I start using them again as much as I used to they need to clean up their act. Apparently, the introduction of the new trains has been massively delayed (months?) so it's probable all the crap that went on last May, will happen again this May :rolleyes::rolleyes:
And whilst were on trains, are you aware of the Transpennine upgrade? No more going to Slaithwaite to visit dodgey pubs. :D

No knife for me today as I'm working. Hope everyone has a nice weekend

donn donn Norwich is a very nice place, fine Cathedral too. Should be a great opportunity to take a Lambfoot to open up a few pies, slice some cheeses whilst enjoying a drink:cool:

I suppose all this talk of trains is because of the boozing, a car's out of the question:eek::D Solution: find a teetotal driver;)

We don’t encourage folk to visit us :D.Nothing to see or do.

Good morning Guardians. Happy Saturday and I hope you all have a fun or relaxing weekend. I'm starting my Saturday off with a strong cup of coffee and my Rosewood Lambsfoot, a great way to start any morning. Tonight we are going to a crab feed fundraiser for the high school marching band. It's always a lot of fun with tons of good food, friends, auctions, and prizes. Should be a great time.

I know what you mean Jack. Hard work was fun when I recovered quickly, but now a full day of hard work has to be followed by a couple of days of good rest. I still love to work hard, it makes me feel accomplished, but I prefer it in much smaller doses now :D

I carry a Lambsfoot now...

Lambsfoot knives are cool

Dave I grew on a farm down in the south where all meals are quite the spread. You had to eat like that to endure the rigorous work and heat. Now days the hearty meals are still a tradition but the hard work is not which has resulted in my home state being recognized as one of the fattest states in the US. 2017 I believe they were #1.

Lambsfoot for proper content;)

Rob, that's most unfortunate, not only the burden of fattiest State, I'm guessing here, most likely a State with Health Care costs through the roof as well. :(
