Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The Leo Kottke/Julian Lage concert was pretty, pretty good. Julian Lage was amazing as expected. Leo is 80. He only played one tune on his six string. He played a few instrumentals on his 12 String but mainly played his singing tunes. With Leo half the enjoyment for me is his humorous stories. He sung Julie’s House and told a story about it. The story is sweet and innocent. I had a different idea of the meaning of the lyrics. It’s hard to describe his sense of humor. He talked about his grandma, Julie of course and really got the audience engaged.

I even bought myself a beer. I told the bartender I was having my first drink since I quit during the pandemic. He was in AA so he was a bit concerned until I told him I just quit drinking because I was getting old and now I like it and I wanted to spend my money on lambsfoot knives instead. 🤔. Boy did I enjoy that pint. But I don’t plan on drinking another until Leo comes around once more.

Sounds like an excellent time 👍
Amazing what a good storyteller can do with a crowd.

Harry Chapin came to Michigan Tech one winter. I wasn't a fan, but my girlfriend was so we went. Did I mention it was winter? In MIchigan's UP? His band didn't make it due to bad weather, so there was Harry and his acoustic guitar in front of couple of thousand people in Sherman Gym. It was amazing 🤩 He engaged the crowd like I've never seen. Really fun. One of the best concerts I ever attended, and I wasn't even a fan 👍

Nice, Steve!!! For a vintage knife collector, that knife ticks sooo many boxes!!! 😲 😁

Thanks Charlie 👍

Very nice !

I was disappointed to see they had reduced the number in the box from 240 to 210
Yes, there used to be a thing called the McDonalds Index. They could compare the cost of things compared to inflation over time with the cost of a McDonalds burger. Doesn't work anymore, to keep the cost of their burgers down they made them smaller. A McDonalds burger is about half the size from 30 years ago. Some more useless info to clutter your brain with. Have a good week mate. 🥰

Same here Jer! :D
That must have been a large Rabbit or a fragile car 😲
I was surprised by the damage it had caused Steve! I didn't see it, and at the time, the driver said they weren't sure whether it was a rabbit, a rat, or something else. I did feel and hear it going under the car. When we went to inspect the damage, there was a plastic/nylon strip below the grill, which was dislodged, and in the middle, there was a large, almost triangular-shaped cleanly punched out of it, as if we had hit something more solid than flesh and bone. We must have been travelling about 70 MPH though. Obviously faster, but I once saw an experiment where a solid shotgun slug made out of lard was fired through a wall of some kind (could have been plasterboard - I can't remember exactly, as I was a kid watching a TV science programme! :D)!
Beautiful shot of your AC Steve :)
Coffee and Lamb are a good way to start the day! :D

Sounds like a great night Kurt, and I'm glad you enjoyed your pint :) I know a lot of older fellers who have just drifted away from drinking, and I doubt even Tool Man drinks like he did as a youngster - except when he's away with the Teds of course! 😂 That's a great shot of your handsome K'roo :)

That's cool Mike :)
Another fantastic shot Steve  I'm tempted to carry my own AC! :D

I don't have many pics of the Pile side. I had this one because the tip is very slightly proud, and I always meant to spend 5 minutes filing the kick, but since I carry it in a slip, I haven't bothered. It's only been 7 years now! :D

Evening Guardians! Hope everyone has had a peaceful Sunday 🤠

You too David, nice choice there my friend :)
Nice covers Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend :) It was pretty good weather here, but I ended up with some work to do, so I didn't go out except for a walk down to the shop early evening. I'm probably going to end up doing some more work today, but I don't mind too much :) Got my Rosecraft Lamb in my pocket
