Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice !

Thanks pal 👍

Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing? I was supposed to be meeting the friend I did the posters for, but her mother is in hospital, so I'll pass them on another time. I have plenty of work to do, but at some point, I need to nip to town to buy some bread, and run a few other errands. The sun isn't out yet, but at least it's not raining, which is always a bonus here. Slipped L'Ariete in my pocket :) Have a good day Guardians

Good morning, Guardians! Getting back in the routine in Dallas. Moved into new office space last Thursday after five years in another building. I will be unpacking my books and other items from boxes for a while. I have too much stuff.

Dallas commercial rents are insane and developers are not slowing down one bit. Apparently the old building set is going to razed to make room for another high end grocery store and restaurant / retail complex. Just what the world needs. The new spot is in a younger building, independently owned, and an upgrade in every way. And I’m paying for it. OK, enough ranting.

Bayou Trapper 🐑 with morning espresso on Two-Blade Tuesday. Love the Ironwood covers on this beautiful pattern. So fine in the hand. I hope everyone has a good day.IMG_5964.jpeg

The Leo Kottke/Julian Lage concert was pretty, pretty good. Julian Lage was amazing as expected. Leo is 80. He only played one tune on his six string. He played a few instrumentals on his 12 String but mainly played his singing tunes. With Leo half the enjoyment for me is his humorous stories. He sung Julie’s House and told a story about it. The story is sweet and innocent. I had a different idea of the meaning of the lyrics. It’s hard to describe his sense of humor. He talked about his grandma, Julie of course and really got the audience
Kurt, I’m jealous you got to see Kottke play, even at 80. My ex wife and I saw him play in a small venue in Dallas in the 90s; an amazing experience. Total raconteur. He played a bunch of songs solo on both 6 and 12 string, and a bunch more with rotating band members including a number that featured the hammer dulcimer. Not something you see too often. I’ll never forget it.
