Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing? I was supposed to be meeting the friend I did the posters for, but her mother is in hospital, so I'll pass them on another time. I have plenty of work to do, but at some point, I need to nip to town to buy some bread, and run a few other errands. The sun isn't out yet, but at least it's not raining, which is always a bonus here. Slipped L'Ariete in my pocketHave a good day Guardians

Kurt, I’m jealous you got to see Kottke play, even at 80. My ex wife and I saw him play in a small venue in Dallas in the 90s; an amazing experience. Total raconteur. He played a bunch of songs solo on both 6 and 12 string, and a bunch more with rotating band members including a number that featured the hammer dulcimer. Not something you see too often. I’ll never forget it.The Leo Kottke/Julian Lage concert was pretty, pretty good. Julian Lage was amazing as expected. Leo is 80. He only played one tune on his six string. He played a few instrumentals on his 12 String but mainly played his singing tunes. With Leo half the enjoyment for me is his humorous stories. He sung Julie’s House and told a story about it. The story is sweet and innocent. I had a different idea of the meaning of the lyrics. It’s hard to describe his sense of humor. He talked about his grandma, Julie of course and really got the audience
Thanks good sir. Now pace yourself this week.Great shot Bob![]()

Good morning, Guardians! Getting back in the routine in Dallas. Moved into new office space last Thursday after five years in another building. I will be unpacking my books and other items from boxes for a while. I have too much stuff.
Dallas commercial rents are insane and developers are not slowing down one bit. Apparently the old building set is going to razed to make room for another high end grocery store and restaurant / retail complex. Just what the world needs. The new spot is in a younger building, independently owned, and an upgrade in every way. And I’m paying for it. OK, enough ranting.
Bayou Trapperwith morning espresso on Two-Blade Tuesday. Love the Ironwood covers on this beautiful pattern. So fine in the hand. I hope everyone has a good day.View attachment 2948527

Hi Guardians,
I apologize for the abrupt departure from the flock so many years ago. In no way was any disrespect intended.
Suffice to say that sh*t happens and although some remnants remain, the majority has passed (see what I did, there?).
I have always held everyone here in the highest regard and continue to do so.
Although I cannot be sure of the frequency, hopefully any future appearances I may make here will be welcome.
Jack, I haven't added the Guardians to my signature due my nonparticipation, but look forward to approval to do so.
Wishing everyone Happy Trails,
OG

Dave he sure was funny the other night. 6 & 12 String Guitar changed so much. A classic album even if you don’t play. Kicking Mule Records, Windham Hill Records and all those great players he influenced. I miss John Fahey. I met John Renbourn a couple of time and he was so friendly. Sorry when he passed away. But fingerstyle guitar is alive and well thanks to these folks. Michael Hedges was another big loss.Kurt, I’m jealous you got to see Kottke play, even at 80.
