Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Dave he sure was funny the other night. 6 & 12 String Guitar changed so much. A classic album even if you don’t play. Kicking Mule Records, Windham Hill Records and all those great players he influenced. I miss John Fahey. I met John Renbourn a couple of time and he was so friendly. Sorry when he passed away. But fingerstyle guitar is alive and well thanks to these folks. Michael Hedges was another big loss.

Here’s my TEW.

Very nice Kurt. I did not know Michael passed on.

Hi Guardians,
I apologize for the abrupt departure from the flock so many years ago. In no way was any disrespect intended.
Suffice to say that sh*t happens and although some remnants remain, the majority has passed (see what I did, there?).
I have always held everyone here in the highest regard and continue to do so.
Although I cannot be sure of the frequency, hopefully any future appearances I may make here will be welcome.
Jack, I haven't added the Guardians to my signature due my nonparticipation, but look forward to approval to do so.
Wishing everyone Happy Trails,
OG

It's great to see you here old pal, get that sig line added! :D It's great to see you here mbuddy, and with those two stunners! :)
Nevermind, my membership had eplapsed.
Doh! :D I wish I had a fiver for every time I've done that! :D
Thanks Bob. going to have to buy a new computer, just not looking forward to the hassle of trying to get it set up the way I'm used to. I will be going from Windows 10 to 11 which I have on my laptop but I don't use it very often.
The last time I bought a PC, it was cheap as chips Steve, and it didn't take long to get it sorted, certainly less than a new phone!
That was me yesterday, one thing after another 😒
Yeah, I have had quite a bit of work on, but encountered an extra annoyance  Twenty years ago, when I first knew Tool Man, his market stall was next to a guy called Carlton, who was a bit of a bully, and known for not repaying his debts, and generally being a PITA. I immediately sussed out he was a total fraud, and moved him on, but I didn't give him too hard a ride, and have always been pleasant when I've seen him. Unfortunately, because of the sort of guy he is, he pissed off all the other traders, and ended up having to go and work in a fish and chip shop (though I'm pretty sure he's claiming Unemployment Benefit too). A few months back, a flat 2 doors from me became empty, and eventually a new tenant turned up - Carlton. He's not quite moved in yet, because, at 45, he's still living with his mother, but I've seen him a couple of times. Now, apart from his other faults, this guy is really slimey around women, and he's taken a shine to my next door neighbour. So, this morning I go out, and Moninder is in the garden, and apologises to me about my tree. I look at my sycamore, and am astonished to see that 2 large solar-powered lights, and all the wiring, have been fixed, with screws, to my beloved tree. It turns out Carlton had offered to put them up for her, (and this is a guy who usually does NOTHING for ANYBODY). but the guy is so stupid, he's put them in MY garden. Moninder says she'll take them down, but I tell her I'll just ring Carlton, and get him to do it. I ring the guy, around 11am, and it sounds like he's still in bed, and he's immediately aggressive with me. Then he tells me he'll be "having words" with me the next time he sees me! I'm on my way to town now, but when I get back, an hour later, I see him outside his house, and shout over to ask if he wants to have these 'words' now. This guy is a lot younger than me, seems reasonably fit, and always boasting/bullshitting about his martial arts training, but when he says ok, I'm straight round. When I get to his gate though, the guy is filming me on his phone, and accusing me of bullying him! So I call him a coward, and go home. Since then though, I've had numerous phone calls from neighbours who are anxious for a piece of him, and while I've said no, he's no longer welcome in the area, idiot! 🤔

Looks like it's going to be around $500-600 to replace it. I was shoping to stay on win 10 for a while longer.

Sounds like a real idiot 🤬

Sorry to hear that brother, I hope it lasts for a while

Yeah, some character eh, picks a totally unnecessary fight with an older man, then rather than apologise, he'd rather try and act brave from behind a camera? 🤨
Nice pic Mitch :)
Jack, wow this guy sounds like the very definition of a PITA! Sorry to hear it.
Thanks Dave, we have a real nice street here, so it's a shame :(

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and that your week is going OK. It was hot here yesterday, and so a few pints at the pub, in the evening, with Matt, was nice. I saw 2 of the Italians from Charlie's cafe, one of them had her daughter over, and I bought them a bottle of wine. Me and Matt ended up chatting to some guys we know outside, but one of them turned out to be a real conspiracy theorist, (his friends quickly disappeared once he got started). Among the colourful of his non-stop 'alternative facts' was the Tartarian Empire, which he told me had been based in Chicago, where there were huge sky-scrapers, hundreds of years ago :D That isn't something I'd heard about before, but there's a YouTuber, who covers Sheffield, and is always going on about sunken buildings and 'lower-levels', and I have to explain to him that the lower levels are simply basements! 😆 It's supposed to be 90 here today, and is already pretty warm. It looks like it's going to be sunny at least though, rather than simply humid, as it was yesterday. Wishing everyone a good day

What a spectacular knife, Mitch.

Thanks Jack.
There's always 1 of them neighbours. 🥺

sunken buildings and 'lower-levels',
There's a place west of here that's famous for its lower levels, to the extent that it's a tourist destination. Somehow the whole town got built over without becoming inaccessible. ("There is a space between my ears that hurts!" (Little Big Man (another movie that's better than its book))).
RTiVuzy.jpg

I've got my loon-wrangler this morning, Tai Chi this afternoon, and Praise Team rehearsal this evening. (Spellcheck thinks it should be "tail chi". Better capitalize it. (Didn't help: "Tia Chi".))
If my lottery ticket is a big winner, I'll have to drive up to Grand Rapids to claim my prize. Oh, the drudgery!
[Thank Heavens! I don't have to drive to GR.]

Thanks Jack.

Yes, I guess I've been pretty lucky for the most part

I can't remember which I experienced first Jer, but I think I'd be going back to the early 1980's for both :D I get that a lot with my phone, I don't know why it thinks it's smart because some of the corrections, most even, make no sense whatsoever
Good morning Guardians !

Wee Rosie today 👍

Rosie is a sweetie Steve :)

It's been a hot one here, and I've been on my feet most of the day, schlepping round with those posters. I did call in for a nice thali at lunchtime though, and picked up some of the best samosas in Yorkshire, and some pakora, for the market tomorrow ;) I hope everyone is having a good day

I received my prize from the Yorkshire Day GAW yesterday. Thank you Jack for putting on another fun celebration! There were a couple goodies added in the package along with a neat postcard. Thanks again Jack, your generosity never ends! I'm sure this lamb will get carried frequently. 😁
