Thank you, Jack. Veg heavy when the bounty is this good. I meant to point out that despite the recipe name there is no cream in my creamed corn. Just butter to cook the onions and peppers down to start. When the sweet summer corn is in season all you need is to scrape the cobs down after slicing off the kernels. That’s all the richness you need.

While I might consider going up something like that, the coming back down part would make me reconsider the wisdom of going up. I find it easy to go up things like that...but descending is an entirely different proposition. At least for me it is.

Hello everyone.
Well Jack, I'm off to the golf course soon for some aggravation. Then, I have an orange tree, holly and japanese maple to plant. This will be followed by some Tylenol and cold ones.

I'm going to work. My flag's out. I'll carry a Union pen knife and wear my Utica Polish Solidarity button.
Then maybe a little more clearing with my bank blade, machete, and thick leather gloves. In general, the yard-waste picker-uppers have had it too easy here.
And I have a couple of hollies to transplant. The birds must plant them from the berries of the big one. This year I haven't mown over them on the theory that there will be more next year. I'll put them in front of a couple of thin spots in my back jungle border.

Good morning Guardians! Labor Day for me means . . . labor. I have to work at the store today, but at least the weather is supposed to be decent.
I'll have Beni with me to CE and CF, besides actually cutting something if it comes up. Should be a slow day.

Blimey, I thought Labour Day was supposed to be a celebration, rather than a day of activity! No more than 8 hours Jer, or Albert Parson will haunt your dreams!
