Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good period for Welsh Indie bands Jer
I've got The Darling Buds' Crawdaddy downstairs somewhere, too. I discovered them both when I was a member of Columbia House of Records and Tapes in the late 90s.

Cool pic, Jack.

Always nice to get to talk with you, Dan. I hope you had a great visit with your son and family.:thumbsup:

Good looking Cosimo you’ve won there, GT. Glad to see you’re putting it to work. As for a name, how about just, “The Shadow”?

Cute pup you’ve got there, Will. Nice pics of your Flat Cap Lamb, as well.

One of my favorite indulgences around Christmas time is the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake. They’re pure processed junk food that should only be enjoyed in moderation, but I love them nonetheless. 😁 I’ve noticed in recent years that they’ve started showing up in stores so early that the expiration dates can be a couple weeks before Christmas. 🤣

That’s what we did when we visited, Jack. I think we were even able to get the SIM cards mailed to us here before we left, so we had them as soon as we landed. It worked out great, they were prepaid with enough data so we could use our phones like normal while we were there, and the cost was very reasonable.

That’s a beautiful old Lambsfoot, Charlie.

Tasty looking pair of pikelets/crumpets there, Jack. I haven’t had one in quite a while. (The ones I can get here are ok, but not quite the same.)

Hope y’all all had a nice weekend. I failed to report in with my last trail walk, which was Thursday, I think. I checked off another couple miles (8 through 10) on the trail.

This section of the trail heads west out of Mound, and from this point on the surrounding area becomes more rural. I walked past a couple smaller lakes, although for the most part the view from the trail is obstructed by vegetation.

I spotted these guys along the way. I’m no bird expert, but I believe they’re ospreys.

I had my stag Hartshead Barlow with me on my walk, and kept it in my pocket throughout the weekend.

Hopefully those ospreys don’t extend the nest to the end of the insulator. Interesting to see glass insulators still in use. Around here everything is ceramic.

Same lambsfoot all week for me in terms of pocket-carry, although I have a couple of lambsfoot knives in the kitchen that may be called on for food prep during the week. As I've mentioned, my lambsfoot this week is Union Jack, and here's one of my favorite photos of it from the early days in Spring 2017:

That Union Jack keeps getting better with age.

Ebony Wright for me today.

Looking good David 🙂👍
Sounds a good day Jack
You haven't booked a trip to Poland?
Not yet Mitch, I keep asking Bod about it. I drove right across Poland about 18 years ago, and spent a few days in Bialystock, a notoriously rough town near the Belarusian border. I had a great time 🙂 I had planned to go back the following year, but had to cancel my trip as I broke a tendon in one of my fingers 😕 Then all my friends from Bialystock moved to England! 🙄👍
Sounds like a very good day, Jack! Bonus pic of Rose Burl for WWView attachment 2978725
