Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Many years ago I had a recliner made by a US company called Lane. It had a lifetime warranty. It was an excellent chair and after many years of use the fabric showed little wear and still looked good. Then the frame broke so I called Lane to find out how to get it replaced under the lifetime warranty. IIRC, Lane was located in one of the Carolinas. I talked to a very nice lady with a delightful southern accent who proceed to explain that since the frame broke, the chair was the end of its life and therefore the lifetime warranty had expired 🤪
😖🤨🤪
Good morning Guardians !

I had a great time over at my brothers yesterday. The food was delicious and great company as well.

You too David, hope you had a fine day :)
Sunny and in the fifties (F). Pretty fall day 🍁

I generally don't name my knives, but I'm thinking of naming this one Dana 💀🤔

Sounds like a good 'un :)
Great to see you here :)
Thanks, and,
Gutters is common here, too. Since Mom's parents were both English immigrants, they probably said gutters.
So maybe eavestroughes is upper Mohawk regional, or maybe it's North Welsh. Or maybe it's one of my great grandfather's idiosyncrasies latched onto by my dad.

To me, gutters are in streets, forming the abode of rats, snipes, and urchins, as well as the channel for rain to run off.

LOL! Just looking online, it seems to be the more precise term (though I'm in the USA today)

Looking good Steve :)
After Coon-fingering and Chicken-eyeing for a bit, I couldn't "Bear" to choose one over the other!! I am two-ly blest, in my pockets today!! 😁 View attachment 3027636
Happy Double Lambsfoot Day Charlie :)
Taskmaster is definitely a bit silly (ok, more than a bit), but I’ve found most of the series to be pretty consistently hilarious.

I’m not all that great at recognizing different British accents, but I think I could have probably placed Maisie’s (the girl with the blonde hair) as being Yorkshire or Yorkshire-adjacent accent.
I'll have to check out some more episodes mate :D
Hope y’all had a good weekend. Last night Julie and I went out for dinner, then to a Minnesota Timberwolves game.

I had to go knife-less for the basketball game, but I’ve got my Cosimo Lunar Lamb with me today.

Good morning Guardians, I'm a bit distracted, as my phone keeps ringing, and I'm rushing to go out, as I have some work. Hope your week gets off to a great start, and I'll catch up with you all later

Looks like a good trip, Dave. I’ve never been to NYC (other than flying through JFK once or twice).
I recommend it, Barrett! Especially if you can have a “local” guide you. (I am far from a local but I have travelled there multiple times a year on business for the past 30 years.)

My Lambsfoot of the Week is a Rosecraft Briarpatch Jack, a double-ended lamb/clip cigar jack with D2 blades and smoky gray bone covers. I've named it Smoked Lamb; sounds tasty, eh? ;)

Like many Guardians, I'm a big fan of lollygaggin' 🤓, but almost every Saturday, I have to reserve a substantial amount of time for "laundrygaggin'". Last Saturday was no exception, but I did manage to squeeze in some photo sessions with Smoked Lamb. So this week (unlike MOST weeks), I'll be posting pics that are almost new!

Here's Smoked Lamb with a pair of work boots I bought less than 3 weeks ago that I'm still trying to break in gradually. I probably have about 50 miles on the boots so far; I don't think I've ever worn them for more than 8 miles at a time yet.

And here's a photo of Smoked Lamb in our back yard on Saturday - mums the word!
