Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I've not had a great day today, not least unexpectedly re-doing someone's abysmal work ๐Ÿ˜– Their boss's thank you was underwhelming, so it'll be the last time I do him a favour  More work tomorrow, and probably the same throughout the week, but for a different outfit at least. I'm sure we've all worked with/for total incompetents, who earn a good wage regardless ๐Ÿ˜’

Think I'm going to carry my Hartshead Barlow tomorrow

Hope you have a good day with your stag HHB
2 more photos of Union Jack during the second week I had him. The second photo is one of my favorites of this rosewood lambsfoot, and I'm not sure why I like it so much.

My pedometer tells me I've walked 16.3 miles today, so it's time for me to head to bed. The walking included a visit to a blood doctor I see twice a year. She said my white blood cell count was lower than it had been, but not in a "danger zone" (yet). I wonder if walking too much could lower my white blood cell count? ;) At least the monoclonal proteins that they're always watching are stable, and show no movement toward myeloma (yet).

I like that second pic also Gary ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค
Nice hat and stag ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค

I hope the rest of your week is better .
Thanks buddy, I got a text from the manager yesterday, asking me if I could 'proof-read' another press-release this afternoon. The same happened yesterday, and the PR was so bad, I had to completely re-write it. I explained that proof-reading involves checking for punctuation, spelling and grammatical errors, something another member of his team could hopefully manage ;)

Mate you must be on a list somewhere in the NHS๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
Unfortunately, they keep losing the list! ๐Ÿ˜–

I hurt my knee over a year ago, in a fall, and as it was still swollen, and painful, a month later, having previously been to the hospital for an X-Ray, I went to the doctors. I requested an appointment, but didn't hear anything, so I went back, and was told I was being referred to a physiotherapist. Some months later, I saw someone, and they said they were referring me to a specialist. Since then, I've heard nothing. So, about 3 weeks ago, I requested another doctors appointment, to discuss this, and a problem with my OTHER knee. I was giving blood in the surgery the next day, so asked about the appointment, and was told I'd be hearing from someone later that day. I didn't, so the following week, I went back. This time I was told that I was being referred back to a physiotherapist, but they couldn't give me the date for the appointment, because it was at the beginning of December, and the schedule hadn't updated on the computer. They told me I'd hear from them, probably the following week. Having still not heard from them, and with December fast approaching, I now need to go back again. Some system eh?!
Looking good mate :)
Working with ungrateful incompetents: ๐Ÿคฌ
16 year Lagavulin: ๐Ÿฅฐ
It's never been cheap, but I happily remember the days before the price went through the roof! ;)

Good morning Guardians, I should remember to block all work-related telephone calls, and texts, until after 9am! ;) I hope everyone's week is going well, and that you're getting more play than work :D We're well into the time of grey days, and long nights here, and it's been pretty wet recently. I dislike the rain more as I get older, but would happily trade a wet Autumn for a good Summer, and we had a good one this year - by British standards :D Having partially uncoupled myself from work for the day, and possibly for the rest of the week, I still have plenty of things to do, unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜ญ I'm missing Charlie's cafe, and been having to spend my money at a place in town (that's how you lose your customers Hisham!). I hope they get their act together with the re-fit, because it's become part of my routine. Unfortunately, their prices are likely to go up, rather than down, and they've already lost a lot of local customers because of it. They didn't need a re-fit, they should have just employed some competent staff, raised the quality of the food, and charged more realistic prices  I hope it survives, because the coffee is good, and it's a good community hub, but we'll see. Anyway, enough lollygaggin' from me, enjoy your day Guardians :)

I remember when you hurt your knee. The system hasn't improved in 12 months, hang in there.
Have a great day.

That's a bad time to lose power Mitch  Hope everything else is OK

Thanks mate, in retrospect I should have got the CCTV, and taking the names of the witnesses! The system goes from bad to worse I'm afraid ๐Ÿ˜– Hope the rest of your evening goes well

Yeah, the coffee is good, and it's a nice place to hang out, I always bump into friends and neighbours. It's a good pit-stop when I'm heading into town, and adds a mile of exercise to my schedule, more if I forget my wallet! :D

Nice to have a coffee with your eldest :) Me and Wolfie have been trying to schedule a coffee with his daughter for the past week or so, not easy with teenagers! :D Hoping to meet Wolfie for one this afternoon anyway :)

Some system eh?!
It must be depressing for the caregiver wannabes, too.
I hope it survives, because the coffee is good,
Let's hope the new coffee machine doesn't spoil the coffee.

Apparently Winter is starting today, in about five hours. I've unplugged my mower battery charger, and as soon as it's light I'll put the mower in the back of the garage and bring the snowblower up. (The battery and charger are always in the house.) Then get some blood drawn, and maybe get my geezer's half price buss pass while I'm downtown. Maybe set up the front bedroom (after clearing it out) so I can sleep in the warmer room. But I have blankets, so there's no rush on that.

Winter arrived here last night , Rain turned to snow and the wind is howling. Winter storm warning in effect.

'Tis the season to strain my cheerful philosophy: Spring is right around the corner, and the corner is closer now!
And meanwhile, we get to exult in our youthful strength!

I remembered to get my recycling out.
They never come until late in the day, except on days when you don't get it out early.
