Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Black beauty !

I can feel it from here Steve! 🥶 Am I right in thinking the past 2 Minnesota winters have been relatively mild (though. from I remember, it didn't look 'mild' in your pics)? I hope you and Cassie get through it OK buddy

Yes, mild as in not a lot of snow but still plenty cold. I think we might be in for it this winter but we will be fine. You just have to get in the right mind set and dress for the weather and then it becomes no big hardship.

That's a fair dusting Steve, and a superb shot of your Lamb :)

Thank Jack 👍

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I went out at midday, and bumped into one of my neighbours I don't see too often, so we chewed the fat for half an hour :) I decided to have Thai for lunch, did a bit of shopping, and then had an hour with Wolfie, over coffee and apple crumble and custard tart 😋 I'm liking the idea of not having any work this evening :) I didn't think I'd have time for the market tomorrow, but I should be able to call down for a bit, at least

Nice pic buddy ! Speaking of Wolfie, did you ever get his boxing video up on youtube ?

One of the things I like about 'Fargo', is the way the cold becomes part of the movie :D I do realise that much of it was filmed in North Dakota though ;)
Thank Jack 👍

I'm afraid not Steve, I should have asked him today. Usually there's a lot of us there, with several people filming the fight, but this time we were a smaller group. Amos, Wolfie's eldest, usually records the fight on his phone. I started filming, but my phone cut out for some reason. So, as far as I know, only Idris, Wolfie's youngest filmed it. Wolfie sent me some clips, but they were very poor quality, I'm afraid. I'll try to remember to ask him if he's been able to track down anymore footage, in fact I think he has set up a YT channel, so I'll have a look there

Speaking of filming and movies, I'd completely forgotten I was going out to the cinema with Matt tonight, to see the sequel to a movie we saw a couple of years back! :D I'm just wondering whether I need to take my Spetsnaz shovel! :D

WARNING: Trailer contains spectacular cartoonish violence, and one curse word:

Thanks Steve.
Sorry to see that snow in your yard.
I forgot what it looks like already.😃
My wife is outside catching frogs today. They are enjoying the warmth.20251125_081316.jpg

A couple of years already?
Maybe not take the Spetsnaz shovel- you don't want to be on the wrong side of Sisuman.

I got the bloodwork done, but that was excitement enough without the senior bus pass. I'd meant to park in a ramp between the two sites, but I turned to avoid some flashing lights and turned again to avoid a construction arrow, and ended up at the hospital's ramp, which is now, at least and at last, fully open.
But I was in the wrong building for the pavillion where I'd made my bloodletting appointment. So I just waited there for that lab, and was home sooner than I'd have been if I'd made it to the appointment.
I got my yard machines re deployed. I think I'll walk to church and refresh the eternal flame before the pavement freezes.
Not much of a storm yet .🤞

The turkeys always disappear late October. A meeting I suppose. I see them again around February. But this year the Five Amigos are still here. I am real curious to see if they stick around. The mountain lion still comes around but the Amigos are ok. The lion got a deer the other day.
Thanks for update Kurt.
I have seen a few out in the fields, close to a herd of steer.

It's attractive and nicely-made Barrett, you can basically use it as a wallet, as it has plenty of extra storage. As you suspect, and I suspected too, the bulk makes it less useful. I carry it in my satchel, but I always have a notebook in my pocket anyway. It was a bit of a frivolous buy, and I just bought one of their other products, which is also nicely made, but even more frivolous! :D

Definitely looks like they make some nice stuff. The brand of pocket notebooks I use most often (Word.) sell some nice looking leather covers, but again, it’d just add unnecessary bulk. I usually slip my notebook in a jacket pocket or (in warmer weather) my shirt pocket, so I don’t need them to be any thicker. And yet I’ve still considered buying one on more than one occasion. 🤣

What a cute pic :) I was just there a few months back, but I failed to notice if there are still phones in the phone boxes, there may be :) And what about that arrow on the wall to the left of the phone box? ;)

Amazing how time flies. That doesn’t feel that long ago, but it was summer 2017. Now Sybil’s only a couple years from being a teenager, and of course Eleanor’s not far behind her. 😳

That phone box was located next to the Queen’s Gate into Kensington Gardens. In fact, I believe it’s the same one that can be seen in this photo from the Queen’s Gate Wikipedia page.

I hadn’t noticed that symbol on the stone before. As I wasn’t familiar with it, I had to do a bit of research.

Yes, it was Barrett, thank you :) It has darkened a bit from carry. Here it is when new

Very nice. I think you picked that one up when you and I were in Sheffield together.

Thanks Jack
Aussies have a word to

🤣🤣

As a kid, I wasn’t exposed to much rock music, but around 12 or 13 I started listening to a lot of 70s and 80s rock. Needless to say, as a teenager, I thought that song in particular was hilarious. 😁

I think this is the cure for everyone's ailments....bubble wrap. This group is banging themselves up.
I myself, went into the trees on my bike.😅View attachment 3035737

Gonna be hard to ride your bike in that getup, Bob, like the kid in A Christmas Story trying to walk to school. “I can’t put my arms down!” “You can put your arms down when you get to school.” 🤣

Good Wednesday to you. Every once in a while I get my cat in a picture. Here’s his foot with another foot.

Great pic! 😁 Love the shadow pattern!

I keep seeing ads for that one. I never saw the first one (don’t even remember hearing of it before I started seeing ads for the sequel). It looks pretty wild! 😁

Big milestone for the Guardians thread coming up fast! I have a picture to mark the occasion it, but I’ll wait until we’re on the next page. 😉

Wise advice Jer! :D

Probably a good time to make yourself scarce if you're a turkey! :D You live in a dangerous neighbourhood Kurt!

Oh, I'm even dafter mate! :D I bought a leather cover a couple of years back. Didn't really use it much! 😖 🤣 👍

Incredible how fast they grow up! :)

Interesting stuff my friend :)

You have a better recollection than me Barrett, I forgot I picked up the 2019 sample then! :D

We had a good laugh watching the first one, in fact I think I have it on DVD, but I hadn't actually seen a trailer for the sequel until I looked tonight! :D

Well spotted Barrett, I'd missed that entirely! :D
Afternoon Guardians! Overcast and cold today. Hope y'all have a good one 🤠
