Please drool quietly (I will be in touch) ;)

Those look great! I'd love to see one next to an AC to compare the sizes.

Just having my own cup of extremely strong tea here (Yorkshire Gold);)

i could relate to a number of those shown:cool: even though it's the smaller LF I like most. Got an Ebony Ettrick on the way at the moment, woods of a feather :D

Slowly catching up...;)

Knife and pin are looking good! Hey, I noticed you're talking Texan: "y'all"!

Like a native! :D

We are all excited. Have a safe trip.

Thanks John

Yeah, I’ve heard rumours of this ‘snow’ stuff as well. Personally, I remain sceptical about it. :D;):p

I’m just returning from a road trip out West - showing around a visitor from the Carolinas;) (and getting some material for another thread). This thread moves quick, so apologies if I’ve missed acknowledging any comments.

It’s great to see all the new Guardians entering the Lambsfoot fold and contributing to this thread.:thumbsup:

Welcome, friends!:)

Nice one mate, your hard work is appreciated as always. Safe travels to Sheffield.:thumbsup:

Huh, yeah I also use that phrase on the Porch. Aussies tend to use the word ‘youse’ as a collective form of address, but I guess it might not be clearly understood here, so “y’all” works fine!:)

Thanks pal, those photos are spectacular :) Yeah, it's the same here, though 'youse' may well be pronounced 'yiz', as in 'What d'yiz want from the bar'! :D I guess that a Yorkshire way of saying 'Hey, y'all' would be 'Na then, tha lot'! :D

Yeah, the flaw has been present since I received it. It has never bothered me any, it doesn't seem structurally unstable, and I chalk it up to adding to the overall exceptional character of the knife.

Safe travels on the morrow, Jack. Love the pin, it pairs nicely with the Lambsfoot.

Fantastic pictures, Chin! Your travels are enviable, my friend, I wonder how you might like our Pacific Northwest wilderness up here.

Thanks Dylan :) I really don't remember noticing it, but may have just forgotten. Charlie has a theory that air-travel in the hold can affect knives. I guess if the air inside a flaw expanded?

This particular Lambsfoot is likely my least carried and likely for no other reason than that I have a couple of great horn examples already and I've been keeping company with bone, ebony, and stag as of late. Today, I decided to bring her out for some daylight. Rather handsome, I think.

Much the same with me my friend, I got the ebony and horn at the same time, and the ebony won me over  Then came the ACs! :D Fantastic pic

I want to apply for entrance to The Guardians..... I bought a single Lambsfoot about 3 weeks ago and fell in love with it, warts and all...…. So I bought 3 more & received them yesterday...……. So now it is a herd of 4..... I live just south of Rochester, NY..… I have no connection with NYC and have never been there, even though I have lived in NY 58 of my 69 years.... I am a retired manufacturing manager of heavy machining; a USAF Viet Nam Vet; and have somewhere around 200 knives...…… So all that and $.50 will buy you a small coffee.... Attached is a picture of the herd...…….. I enjoy reading this thread & it sounds like you are a nice group...…….. Brent ( HEMI 49 )lamb 1.jpg lamb2.jpg lamb3.jpg

Nice looking herd.
Jack should be contacting you soon about the dues, uniform, secret handshake, oath, meeting times, etc. ;)

P.S. Thank you for your service, Sir.

This week I'll be carrying the Union Jack, my rosewood lambsfoot purchased for me by my daughter and wife in Burnitt's hardware store in York, England.

They did very well for you GT :) I correct you only so you don't fail to find it should you ever visit - it's actually Barnitt's

Curse of the Lambsfoot

It was a dark and stormy night. Alas the next morning, work will still needed to be done. As I choose the pocket cutlery to carry with me, the lambsfoot once again will go into my front left pocket, steadily taking place of other edc knives that have been put away since it’s arrival. It has also replaced my 30+ year worry stone. My bank account has a surprisingly positive balance, as I find that looking at other knives just doesn’t trigger any buying impulse. I do enjoy other knives I have, and I carry more than one at a time, but the lambsfoot is getting the most use by far. Talk about traditional, an old school pattern for certain. When I first got it I wasn’t that thrilled about it. But I decided to give it a fair chance. After I carried it that first week, we have been inseparable ever since. Is it a blessing, or a curse?

Good post Jody :) Carry a Lambsfoot, and it'll steal your heart ;)

Thank you Prester John.

@Pgg365247, I just want to thank you for joining us here my friend, and for contributing nearly half your post count to the Guardians thread :p ;) :D

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger my friend . After last night and this morning , the snow on top of our patio table measured 18 & 1/2 inches . And tomorrows temperatures will be dropping like a rock from the current 4 F to -20 some F .

Harry

Crikey, that's quite a fall Harry, don't go dropping any knives! So is the car out on the ice yet (I look forward to it all year!)? :D

I’m reading Horace Kephart’s Our Southern Highlanders at the moment, and the Scots-Irish Appalachians definitely use ‘you’uns’ in that, like Jathes said.

Well, you know I’d be glad to show you around if you ever visit this part of the world.

In the meantime, I’ll work on building up a few more pics of that area, so we can explore it vicariously through photos.:)

Here’s a couple of old ones taken there (not showing much of the trees unfortunately).

Done, my friend - thanks for keeping the commercial discussion offline. Best of luck, and welcome!

Thanks for the link Chin, one day I'm going to re-learn how to post a link properly! It's great to see your Lambshank again, how are you getting on? :)

Jack, I just want to take a moment to say, "Thank you and congrats." This thread is phenomenal in its knowledge, reach, exposure, and rapidity. You're an incredible ambassador for the humble lambsfoot.

As far as regional dialects for addressing multiples: I felt so bad for the poor girl working the taps at the brewery I went to in Nova Scotia last year. A southern Louisiana boy asking, "Is the hefeweizen y'all's?" was more than the ol' girl could process before I recognized my imbibing had reverted me to my roots.

Thank you very much Shawn, that's very kind

Good morning Guardians! :) Our weather is showing its pile side this morning so I figured I’d do the same with my Lambsfoot of choice for today! :D

Good Morning Guardians
We've been having Spring like weather here in Northern California.

Nice knives gents

Harry, we do get those temps and snow falls, but not frequently. As I said Colorado's weather changes quickly and it varies greatly. I'm at 6243 feet above sea level, the high plains east of Denver. Wind is the big factor and blows the snow into drifts as shown in my pics. This morning it's 10 degrees Fahrenheit. You stay warm and dry!

My lambsfoot is developing some, a little, patina from a few days use. I tried to catch it in this photo. Preston

Nice pic Preston

I give up. How did you guys get so far ahead of me?

And "double-think"(I'll be corrected if wrong). Double-think worries me more, though newspeak seems to be happening by itself.
I read the book once in junior high. I don't think I want to read it again.

I realize I don't take many outdoor shots. It's the Pre-Raphaelite in me. I can worship nature just fine from my north-facing atelier.
We're in for a couple of days with highs around 0*F, but well above freezing on Saturday. Winter is on the ropes!

Now I'm out of snow pictures.

LOL! :D Great pic of Old Toffee Wings Jer :)

Good Morning! Black and Gold horn today.

Great posts on page 600!

Well noted Vince :) The last 100 pages have FLOWN! When we get to Page 1000 we can have another giveaway! :D

And now, more waiting with anticipation! :)

If I ever clear my Inbox, I may even be able to ship them

Wonderful to hear this Jack! :)

Oh my!!! They are magnificent!!!!!!

Thanks Dwight, incredible pic, you are going to love this ironwood :)

Nice stag on that one, Jack!

Thanks pal :D

Thanks Dennis. It's a recycled photo. My right arm is immobilized for the next six weeks so I'm relegated to my left hand only. Very slow typing. :)

Hope you heal fast and well my friend

I'm going to have to get a new keyboard!!! Those look so handsome...now one with a few opened up, please. Thanks, Preston

Never mind that, you just go and sort out your email problems! o_O :p

Sorry I missed it before (or, more likely, forgot!). Thanks for reposting it!

No worries my friend
