There's a winter weather advisory till 11 a.m., but I doubt church will be cancelled. It's just snow and cold, and they don't entreat us to eschew unnecessary travel.

Just as I was making my post above, my door buzzer went. I figured it must be a parcel, but a voice on my intercom said, "Hello, we are looking for Portuguese people." A bit random I thought! :D I live in a very multicultural area, with people from just about everywhere, and while I do sometimes hear Portuguese being spoken, it's by Brazilians, or by people from Africa. I initially said I didn't know any Portuguese people, but then I remembered a random conversation I had had 6 months ago with a Portuguese woman who was moving into the flats at the bottom of the street. She had perfect English, and a London accent, so I think she must have grown up there. I had actually lived in the same area as her (Hither Green) once. I chatted to her, and the friends who were helping her move, for about 10 minutes, but haven't seen her since. So, I said, "The only Portuguese woman I know lives in the flats at the bottom of the street. A black lady, with a London accent. She's a Jehovah's Witness."
"Oh, we know her." Came the reply. "We are just looking for Portuguese people to spread the word of God." And off they went in their Quest for Portuguese heathens ;)

That's very odd. I wonder if they think Portuguese people are in particular need of the Word, or if they've given up on everybody else 🤔
 
7F here with a "feels like" of negative 4F. I'm dressed for it.
Dressed for sitting in front of the heater and watching American football that is ;)

Been coon fingering Dana...um...I probably need to rename this knife or at least rephrase 🫢
So...I've been fondling this lamb this morning...um...nevermind 🥴

Yeah… there’s not enough clothes or animal skins on this earth that will provide my mind and body relief from this arctic. I’m not built for this. Had a guy tell me to make sure I don’t keep my eyes open too long or the wet of your eyes will freeze 🤦🏻. I didn’t test it 😂.
