Thanks mate,
Industrious as ever Jer, and I reckon you have picked the right Lamb for itThere was no new snow, last I peeked out. It's still cold, but a few highs well above freezing are predicted for a little later in the week.
I got the tree up yesterday, and the star in the front window, and put them both on a timer.
I might not do much more, and it would have been easy to omit the tree and star, but it would be a shame. That is,, it would be a cause for sadness, not a source of guilt.

Thanks buddy, it's actually Wee Staggy, my regular travelling companion, basking in the sun on one of my vacationsThanks pal !
Nice sunny shot of your AC !
I hear what you're saying Steve, can't winGood morning Guardians !
It's warmed up quite a bit here. It's forecasted to get up to 26° today and 43° tomorrow. Most people may thing that it's good to get so warm but it's not so great because the inevitable freeze will make everything a mess.

And a holiday shot

LOL!It was @45 degrees early this morning and my walking friends and I were talking about how cold it is. Maybe it was the slight ocean breeze that made it feel freezing. Heck 45 degrees is speedo and braces weather where you snowbirds live. I remembered suspenders are garters in the UK. See what I learn here? Braces in the UK can also like here go in your mouth.
A nod to Micarta Monday with some black paper.

Jack, The knife looks wonderful...but I'm not as inclined with your lentil soup. Sorry about that.Good morning Guardians, I had an exhausting day yesterday, walking all over Leeds in heavy rain, I was exhausted when I got homeTool Man is over his Man Flu now, and has reverted to pretending to be a toughie, rather than the blubbing wimp I spoke to on the phone last week!
When I asked how he was feeling, with characteristic self-delusion, he dismissed my enquiry by telling me, "Oh, I just get on with things me..."
As usual, his only concern was if I would be going to the market on Thursday, which if the weather stays the same, I may well not do, and he can get on with that!
Despite my exhaustion yesterday, I slept surprisingly badly, and got up early to answer a question in another thread. I wasn't able to buy bread yesterday, and couldn't find much in the tiny corner shop nearby, so I had a slightly odd breakfast of tea and some apple pastries (the sort that last 6 months). I have some things to do at home, but also need to go into town at some point, and I am taking my Pals Lamb with me
I hope everyone is well, and that you have a good day

My internet connection was so bad this morning that I couldn't post the aboveSo I headed down to Charlie's, grabbed a coffee, and then went into town for some shopping. I needed to be back for 12.00, but I just had time for some Turkish lentil soup, and freshly-made focaccia

Good morning Guardians. As you may have noted from my prior post, it's chilly here in southern NC. Expecting a warming trend coming this Thursday.
Been out every evening this week and last for various dinners celebrating the holiday season - and gaining weight. The good of it all is that I have been carrying my old friend; my HHB.

Nice festive shot !
No worries Bill!Jack, The knife looks wonderful...but I'm not as inclined with your lentil soup. Sorry about that.. I'm sure it was tasty.
We had a cold wave come through here two days ago and it's in the twenties here too - Deg F! Had to place a heater in my irrigation backflow preventer to avoid freezing the pipes. Not normal for this time of year and not conducive for my morning stroll.![]()

Best of luck Steve.Good morning Guardians !
I've got an appointment with a new Chiropractor this afternoon. My old one retired three years ago and I've managed to stay away from one since then. Cassie yanked my left arm pretty hard a couple of weeks ago and it's developed into a pinched nerve. It's been quite painful the last three or four day. I'm really hoping for some relief with an adjustment.
Gidget in the pocket today
