Interesting thought! I'd forgotten, but 15 years ago, I went out with a Portuguese girl, she was very beautiful, extremely well educated, spoke several languages, but was also a bit of a Princess unfortunately

LOL! Fortunately, my friend Kathleen seemed to have forgotten! Or maybe she didn't think I'd fit in her threadbare cheapo Santa costume, as a really skinny guy played Santa. A few folks who've seen me play Santa in the past were disgruntled, but I managed to keep them quiet!

Yeah… there’s not enough clothes or animal skins on this earth that will provide my mind and body relief from this arctic. I’m not built for this. Had a guy tell me to make sure I don’t keep my eyes open too long or the wet of your eyes will freeze . I didn’t test it .

A mate in Sweden told me about that!

But it's a dry cold.
Just like you southerners say " but it's a dry heat"!!

Its a whistle that is supposed to mimic an old time train whistle. A friend of my Dad's used to make them and various other types of wood items in his shop.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Unbeknown to me, Matt's youngsters were invited to the party yesterday, so it was a nice surprise when they all turned up, and we went to the pub afterwards for food, and a few beverages. I was looking forward to a relaxing evening afterwards, but then I had some work come in. It only took me about 90 minutes, but it was too late to start watching a movie afterwards, so I had an early night. Back to the grindstone today Have a good week Guardians

There was no new snow, last I peeked out. It's still cold, but a few highs well above freezing are predicted for a little later in the week.
I got the tree up yesterday,and the star in the front window, and put them both on a timer.
I might not do much more, and it would have been easy to omit the tree and star, but it would be a shame. That is,, it would be a cause for sadness, not a source of guilt.

It's warmed up quite a bit here. It's forecasted to get up to 26° today and 43° tomorrow. Most people may thing that it's good to get so warm but it's not so great because the inevitable freeze will make everything a mess.

It was @45 degrees early this morning and my walking friends and I were talking about how cold it is. Maybe it was the slight ocean breeze that made it feel freezing. Heck 45 degrees is speedo and braces weather where you snowbirds live. I remembered suspenders are garters in the UK. See what I learn here? Braces in the UK can also like here go in your mouth.
