Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing wellGetting to the end of another year, and about to embark on the very sci-fi sounding 2026
I always hope for a better year for the world, but am usually disappointed I'm afraid
Still, we can live in hope
I hope you all have a Happy New Year's Eve, and that the coming year is a good one for you, and your family
If you haven't entered my giveaway, there's still time
No big plans for today, but I'll see if Wolfie needs a hand with anything, and maybe I'll even get to give his kids their Christmas presents
I'm having a Double Lambsfoot Day today, with Charlie's spectacular Flat-Cap Lamb, and my 'futuristic' Space Lamb
Have a good day Guardians, and a great evening

Hope everyone is having a good day. I called in the cafe for a coffee, and saw Hisham's eldest son, Ryan, which was nice. He'll be starting school in 2026. I had a hot chocolate in town, and then took Wolfie to get some keys cut. We went for a pint while the locksmith did them. When Wolfie went back home, I decided to eat out, and went for a pieI was going to have a glass of wine, but they only had one red, a Merlot
Think I'll be watching a movie this evening
Have a good one Guardians, and Happy New Year to all of you

This time last year, the large boxes contained 240 teabags, then 6 months ago they reduced the number to 210, but it turns out they were doing me a favour!![]()
Happy Saturday, Guardians. I recieved two wonderful boxes in the mail from two Guardians and I just have to show my appreciation for the thoughtful gestures.
First one that showed up was this amazing Gerstner knife Chest fromRufus1949 What an amazing item. Blown away by the craftsmanship. These will house my lambs. Thank you so much, Bob.
Next was a tidy little package from England filled with treasure.Jack Black sent me a pipe smoker’s delight box. In it is one of my very favorite blends not sold here in the US, a lovely Rodgers pipe tool, a cool old school wick lighter, and a nice pipe tobacco bag. These will be put to use and cherished. HHBs were not in the package
. Thank you, Jack.

Congrats on your find Barrett, is that a lambsfoot friction folder?New Lambsfoot arrived today, my first new one in a while. I’d been hoping to find one of these Sheldon Lambs for a while now. Didn’t have time for any glamour shots, but I did snap a quick pic this afternoon after I finished replacing the igniter on our oven.

Thanks BarrettInteresting looking Field Notes notebooks, Jack. I can’t keep up with all the different stuff they put out.Couple good looking Lambs there, too.
It was mate, steak and aleHope that pie was as tasty as it looks.![]()
Yeah, like all the timeI hate when they do that kind of stuff.![]()
The cigarette packs are far worse!Very nice! They don’t kid around in Europe with those tobacco warnings, so they?![]()
I guess that’s better than the ones with a picture of a crispy cancer-riddled lung.
Yep, done that a few times! We’ll do that sometimes when there’s a really good deal on something. For me I’ve found I have to be careful not to overdo it and get too much, and then get tired of whatever it is before we can get through it all.![]()
The amount of time he was talking rubbish at our table, I could have read Churchill's 5 volume history!Did he mention the war?![]()
Well great, now I want a D&B.![]()
Sorry to hear that Barrett, that feller made it sound like it was readily available!Good luck. I don’t know about Irn-Bru, but I’ve done a good bit of hunting around here for Dandelion & Burdock and haven’t been able to find any locally.

I bet the Dandelion & Burdock pairs well with Golden Brown cuisine. Maybe it helps with digestion.![]()

Oof, grease missles are on the menu tonight. Those look great.
I too had to replace my oven's heating element this year... It's like appliances these days have planned obsolescence...
Glad you're tuned up JerI cleared the snow yesterday with my steel pusher, before the furnace man arrived. Last year I got mad at the company for some foolish reason, and discovered that my annual service contract with them costs about as much as somebody else's first single servicing. The furnace is fine, and freshly tuned.
