Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

A great pile of of knives, Jack!! Looking forward to opening the box!!
This thread is just steaming along - I can hardly keep up!!
Here are two Joseph Rodgers large Lambfoot knives at 3 7/8".
A jigged bone single-blade with double rattail bolsters, and a two-blade with ebony, and flat bolsters. Both main blades are stamped with "The Lambfoot Knife".

These knives are helping to guide the Lambfoot Knives GEC is hoping to produce later this year!

Those are each beautiful knives, but that bone handled Rodgers is not only the finest old Lambsfoot model I've seen, but also one of the best old Sheffield knives shown.

Awwww :)

Great pics guys  Hope all you Guardians are managing to keep warm. Coldest the day of the year here so far, but it's not crazy cold! I forgot to put my Lambsfoot in my pocket when I made my morning run to the post office  Worse news too, my sample 2019 Guardians Lambsfoot is at Wright's Knife Hospital at the moment because some butter-fingered idiot I know asked me if he could have a look at it, then snatched it out of my hand, tried opening it before he even properly had hold of it, fumbled it, and managed to throw it eight feet in the air with a hard landing on textured concrete! Fortunately, the half-open blade was OK, but the mark side took the impact

Oh man, Jack, sorry to see that happen to such a beautiful knife. Glad to know that it is in good repair hands now though.

Afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Obviously we've all seen Jack's prototype but by virtue of the fact that my nationality places me in close proximity to West Yorkshire, I have the honour of introducing to you all...
The Guardians 2019 Lambsfoot.

God willing when you open the envelope you will find this very smart and swanky Altoids sized tin.

And a comparison with my rosewood I've been toting for the past few days.

Well everyone this is one very nice knife. I've only ever bought off the self before and this is my first semi-custom and I'm mightily impressed. It's shaving sharp and the pull is just right; solid, positive but no nailbreaker.
The covers are not matched but are beautifully finished both sides. A very minor difference in thickness but I only noticed that when I'd taken a close up shot and the pins are perfectly flush. The bolsters set everything off nicely; I think Wright's should use them more often.
It actually feels slightly heavier than the large rosewood I have so this is no wall flower but a proper working knife.
Apologies for the pictures, I thought I'd take them in daylight but it's -1c outside. Also, I didn't realize until after I'd taken them that I hadn't cleaned off small amounts of polishing compound on the knife, so if you think you see blemishes on the bolsters it's not, it's polish.
I missed the last two Guardians knives, but I'm really glad I participated in this buy as this is a knife to cherish.
And lastly, a great "Huzzah!" to both Jack Black, whose been so kind and generous in arranging all this, and of course to Ashley at Wright's who obviously really Really knows his onions and is a true craftsman.

Great to see one of the first new deliveries, beautiful example!!!

I'm always a bit late to the party..... I know somewhere in the preceding 600+ pages I'll find the answer, but maybe someone will give me the Reader's Digest version...……… Is the discussed new Lambsfoot knife with the fluted ferrules available for purchase or was it a "short run" not to be available again? ……… In other words, I'd like to buy one, but I am uncertain how, or if I can..... Thank you for helping a fellow Guardian......
He's as busy as a one legged man in a butt kicking contest but your best bet is to shoot Jack Black a PM.
