Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Great pic Will !

Nice "scales" on that snakeskin, Will! They're certainly not all that bold.

Much obliged, gentleman.

As a rule, I don't win any of the various handle lotteries. I'm okay with marginal covers though, as I suspect I may be capable of only marginal perception. The best might be wasted on me. πŸ˜‚

Thanks Jack. It was very puzzling at first, lots of light and no noise.
I imagine so Bob, I imagine you didn't know what on Earth was going on! I'm glad you had the presence of mind to take a photo though :)
Thanks , It actually turned out to be a decent day after the fog burned off.

Very nice ! πŸ‘
That's good to hear Steve, thanks :)
Always liked the rich coloring of that lamb.
Enjoy your scotch Jack.
Thanks buddy :)
Very attractive Steve :)

LOL! :D Beautiful Saynor David :)
I was thinking, "Keep to the road. Stay off the moors".

LOL! :D The first time I read about that area, which gets very few visitors, the writer recalled a farmer warning him, "Don't go up them moors at night lad, they CRAWL!" πŸ˜‚
One more.

Great looking scotch, Jack πŸ₯ƒ
Thanks Dave, definitely the youngest Malt I've tasted, but interesting

Good luck Paul :)

Good morning Guardians, and it's Market Day here in Leeds :D I'm going to hold back a while, as I don't want to overdose on Tool Man! I did speak to him briefly yesterday to let him know that I'd be down. I'm hoping to meet up with Wolfie for lunch, to get a better standard of conversation! :D Have a great day Guardians :)

Have a good day with L'Ariete Jack.

That's very cool. I wonder if the moors themselves shifted about, or if they were crawling with scocs and such. (I'm not going to check my Beowulfian spelling.) In Beowulf, I remember them being mentioned just once in passing, lolling about the surface of Grendel's dam's mere, with the nickers, nickers being water monsters.
But shucks aren't necessarily watery.

By Readers Digest. This is the only copy I've ever seen, so I'm glad I bought it on sight.

With apologies to Alice, I can't go chasing rabbits right now. I've got audiology and otolaryngology starting at 8:30.

I'm not sure quite what was meant, but the phrase stuck with me! :D In fact, I have slept up on the moor, just a few miles away, admittedly in a small, slightly-ruined old shooting cabin, and in the summer, it is a rather lovely place to spend the night, and to wake up to such splendid isolation :) An enjoyable post, as always, my friend :)

Definitely Steve :)

Good morning, Guardians. Crazy storms in Dallas last night. Brought us some much needed rain but the lightning and thunder sent our poor pup Callie under the sofa for hours. She’s worn out, but happy the sun is out this morning!IMG_8345.jpeg
I took some new tree photos of the Daniels Purple Burl earlier this week. 😈

The better weather has certainly made a difference to the atmosphere in the market, with all the fair-weather traders back, and more punters browsing the stalls. The sun even came out eventually :)

I forgot that Tool Man and Boring Ray had been to Blackpool the previous weekend, as they didn't mention it until I asked, even though they seem to have enjoyed it. Tool Man's stall has looked pretty lacklustre for a good while now, with very little of interest on it, and Tool Man has descended into complacency, in no small part due to the fact he now receives a state pension. He said he didn't see the point of making an effort, when nobody buys anything, but maybe he just needs to have some stock worth purchasing  There isn't even anything interesting to include in my knife photos! πŸ˜–

Big J called by, and later Harry Hotballs, but visitors were thin on the ground today. I had a walk down to Golden Gordon's stall, and purchased this old tome, mainly because I liked the look of the edition.

I also chewed the fat with Nobber Al and Ex-Para Steve, and then went and got myself a coffee. Wolfie couldn't meet me for lunch, so I decided to say goodbye to the market traders, and go and get some shopping elsewhere. I told the lady in the supermarket, I'd be back for the solids later ;) :D I hope everyone else is having a good day

Poor Callie, my old dog Jasper was scared of thunder and would hide in the bathtub. Thankfully Cassie isn't bothered by it too much.

Great picture of that sweet lamb !

Thanks for the report . Glad to hear that things are picking up at the market. Too bad Toolman can't be bothered about his inventory.

Interesting oldie Bob πŸ‘
