Happy Double Lamb Day!
Plenty of life left in that 'un!The tendency here is to want to capture the stag. I haven't fallen into that trap today.
When the photographer focuses on the stag, the tendency of the viewer is to want to look at it. It's nobody's fault. Nice stag is lovely to look at. Sometimes, almost hypnotic.
The only problem, as I see it, is that stag is characteristic of deer more so than it is of knives. If this were a deer appreciation forum (not a bad idea), I'd never bring it up. I'd just post a macro shot of some particularly intriguing antler and call the day a success.
Instead, I had the hare-brained idea to force the viewer to admire the well-used blade of this cool old knife. I am aware that people don't like to be forced into things but as a guy with a camera, that's the whole gig. I figure it's best to lean into it and hope the resulting picture is not too terribly unsatisfying. You'll have to be the judges.

Sadly, Shirley hasn't been down for some time Kurt, which is not a good signThanks for the Market Report Jack. I hope kind Shirley is doing well. it sounds like Tool Man has embraced being a man of leisure. Maybe he needs a new nickname. Cake Man. It has a nice ring to it.

Good morning Guardians, I had a good night out with MattThere was a beer festival on at our local, plenty of great ales to choose from
It's raining here today, and there's an awful lot of birdsong. I wish I could distinguish all the different birds from it
I'm still hoping to meet up with Wolfie for lunch

I had Cornell's app for that, but I couldn't get the birds to isolate themselves for recording.

Well deserved Jack. You keep us on the straight and narrow. The parcel I mentioned above was from PaulJakeywax31 , and it contained a lot of very cool, and useful gifts, including this special Lambsfoot in Sheffield Wednesday team colours!
And it's in much better shape!

Sounds like the makings of a good day JerI got my feet a little wet yesterday walking from the hospital to the bus station and back to the Jake's parking ramp (we used to have two department stores downtown).
My hearing is the same as six months ago, but I might get an MRI to see why my left nerve looks a bit funny, but I might cancel the MRI because the funny nerve is in a brain scan from four years ago, so it probably isn't anything important. Which of course is when they get you.
I got my senior bus pass, and the customer assistant nodded vigorously to give me a hint when she asked if I wanted to sign up for metro connections at the same time, so I did that too. I'll have to look that up.
I'll mosey over to the church around 12:30. I'm pretty sure Doug is covering the meeting of Emily's mob, but that's when they get you. I could text him, but the food will be worth the trip anyway.
