Market Day tomorrow, and I'll be heading down to see Tool Man and the gang, and hopefully meet up with Wolfie, as I have some stuff for his kids
Golden Gordon seems hugely impressed by Tool Man's ability to fit the annual meat production of a small country between 2 pieces of bread!![]()

I may have said this when you’ve posted that photo before, but it looks like promotional image for a new David Attenborough-type nature documentary.
While he was grazing greedily, and extolling the virtues of the mucky fat he had just purchased from the butchers, we were joined by a familiar customer, who usually stays on the other side of the stall.
It even sounds like you’re writing the script for the Attenborough-Tool Man nature doc!
We were at the Mall of America the weekend before last, doing a few things for Scout’s birthday, and while we sat down to have lunch I spied what could easily have been Tool Man’s sister. She kind of looked like him (if you can imagine such a thing), and while we sat there, I think she wolfed down three or four cans of Vienna Sausages.
Someone just told me that the secret to sharing nachos or chips with someone was to think of it like chess - try to think three chips ahead of your opponent.
Remember, if the nachos are stuck together, that’s one nacho. (I believe the other Jack Black said that.)
It's warm and sunny here now, and set to get up to 90 over the weekend

Look at all those beautiful lambs!
Great pic, Dwight! Hope you’re doing well.
Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekendI meant to post some pics last night, but then ended up doing some work
The weather is beautiful here right now, and we had a good hike through the woods. I set up a cowbell for everyone to shoot at, from about 100ft, and we fired our slingshots for a good hour. Matt has gotten quite good, and Rheia and Ruth joined in enthusiastically too

Eventually, we continued with our hike through the woods, and after a few miles, reached our final destination - The Red Lion, where they sell good beer, and pints of the best chips!![]()

Sounds like a nice outing, Jack.
Another day another dollar. Slow at the beginning of my shift so I enjoyed a nice pipe. Mammoth Charlie tonight.

Nice pic, Paul. Looks like you’re getting some good patina on your mammoth Charlie lamb.
We are still finding toys all over the place!!

I figured we’ll still be finding toys behind furniture, in the couch cushions, etc. long after the girls have both gone off to college.
Love that pic!
Well, Guardians, once again you’ll have to excuse my recent absence from the thread. Just been a busy couple weeks. We had Scout’s birthday a couple weekends back, then Eleanor had a 4-day school trip to a nature center in northern Minnesota, and now we’re in the home stretch for the school year (last day is next Tuesday) which means every day is some sort of theme — wacky hair day, mismatch day, school spirit day, etc.
I think I’ve mentioned these Word. brand notebooks here before. They’re similar to Field Notes, but with a few attributes that I find preferable (sturdier covers, better line spacing on the pages, etc.) Over the last couple years, I’ve noticed that they haven’t had many new designs, which was odd because they used to come out with new ones several times a year. I did a little digging and found out that the company has been sold to a new owner, so I’m afraid that, while it seems they’re still in business for now, I don’t know that they’ll continue making the same notebooks in the future.
While I do have a stash of notebooks that should last me some time, I figured I’d see if I could turn up any more. (I’ve previously found some of their older designs for sale online from smaller retailers, etc.) Last week I found eight 3-packs on eBay for a pretty good deal, so I ordered them. They came in the mail yesterday, and everything looked good — until I noticed that the folded arms (or are they legs?) of the staples on the inside of every notebook were rusty!
So yesterday afternoon I sat down and removed the staples from each notebook one by one and replaced them with new staples (thankfully they’re close enough to the size of the standard staples I had on hand). The rusty bits of the staples had, of course, stained the center pages against which they had been folded, so I also removed that middle sheet from each notebook when I replaced its staples.
