Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

First and foremost my thanks and appreciation to Jack Black Jack Black . Thanks Jack. It arrived late so I grabbed it so it wouldn't be lonely in the mailbox. A couple of quick shots with my phone.

I can't speak for others but this example is stunning. It has strikingly beautiful wood. The pull is a solid 7-8 and nice and even right through to fully ope n. The blade is centered and sharp. The backspring is nice and even both open and closed. There are no gaps. If this is how they make 'work' knives, maybe they have a future in this cutlery business. hahaha!View attachment 1083028 View attachment 1083029
Yowza that's a nice one!

A good morning look at my yet unnamed lamb.

Beautiful stag and color on that one.

I have just been making sandwiches and packing my bag for a hike tomorrow :) Obviously I have a couple of knives set aside ;)

Have a good trek my friend!

Thank you, fellas, for the kind compliments.

Such sweet horn on that knife, Dennis, I am glad you chose to hang on to it.

A great question, GT. I have a growing assortment of pins that I keep in a small drawer in my knife chest but I did opt to take one of my Lambsfoot pins and put on my Alpine hat. The hat itself is quite fine and rather warm but I only will wear but a few times a year around Oktoberfest. I'm usually loathe to put pins on any clothing but apparently it has become customary to adorn your alpine hat with all sorts of metal bits...

Have a good trek my friend!

I do believe a pin covered hat like this would make a good Weissbier taste just a little bit better. :)

Great photo, Jack! That's March's "Lambsfoot Monthly Magazine" cover!!:thumbsup:
I think we could put together a fantastic calendar, although it would be tough to select the twelve best photos.
Good morning, Guardians!

That's a contender right there.
Hey that kind of blade grind won't cut spam!.:D
Oh no! Not wavy spam!!!
I am like 12 pages behind, me and my lambsfoot are in the ER at the hospital I work at awaiting the removal of my appendix. Caught it early enjoy your weekend!
I'm not a doctor, but maybe this is one situation where the lambsfoot is not the best knife for the job. I'd go with a scalpel. :p
Seriously, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

That's a beaut, for sure. How does the pile side look? (full disclosure: I'm so goofy after a long stressful week, I was thinking, "Boy, he's got the closest matching sides of any of this run." until I realized those were both mark side pictures.)

Here's to the weekend!

Awesomely matched ironwood, Alan!

I've been resisting buying a Lamb Chop puppet for my lambsfoot postings. But Dang, Shari Lewis has to have been the preeminent ventriloquist/puppeteer of her day, and probably of all eternity. No wonder I loved her.
[edited to bowdlerize "hottest" to "preeminent"]

You and me, both. Nice picture.

The popcorn on that stag caught my eye but what really caught my attention is the Undercrown draped in an Ecuadorian Connecticut shape wrapper. I just don’t see it started though. At this point, I hope it was a delightful memory!! Nice combo you have there!

Thank you, fellas!

I'm about halfway through it. It's been a delightful smoke so far. And this knife happens to be one of my favorites.

Would you look at that. Totally unlike every single one that has preceded it. Fantastic! Man do I love ironwood! Congrats Alan on another one full of character.

Threw my guardian in the pocket. Helped me cut up some feed bags then sat and looked pretty for me.

It certainly needs a majestic name to match such a grand knife!:thumbsup:
I'm at work reading this and enjoying the pictures and also the humor. I wish I had time to quote and comment, but I don't. Just know that I'm enjoying it all.
Currently have the same issue! Hope you catch up, John!o_O

Have a great outing, Jack! Seems you have it down to a science! Would love to see one of your walking sticks!
Thanks, Dennis. No, it's from the Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico, potters Veron and Bert Jojola.
I like it! My brother works at Los Alamos, usually when I go back home, I'll go through Portales, Roswell, Ruidoso on down to Silver City. I hate Albuquerque and Santa Fe, but I owe my brother visit, so I'll have him keep an eye out for one!
Here's one my cousin gave me from Tuscon, I love the black pottery.

Fantastic photo, Rachel! Love the setting, especially in a world of everything computer and programs!:)

I love draught Guinness Stout and I'm quite taken by the Toucan but I don't, for the life of me, get this connection. BUT tmd_87 tmd_87 , your lovely one eyed lambsfoot somehow bridges the incongruity of this odd juxtaposition. :)
Very nice

So in my defense, it's been a very long day ... but... I looked at this post and thought ------ "Oh my goodness!! Ray has an ironwood lamb every bit as amazing as Taylor's!!!!"....... "Actually... It looks just like Taylor's!!!!!"
