Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'm enjoying the art, Dave.
Thank you, John and Jack.:)
Great pic my friend :)

Blimey, the stingy buggers here would have got about another 500 years use out of that place Dave! :D Is that really the oldest building in Canmore? My house is older than that, and it's not considered particularly old here. Heck, I've just been to the Yorkshire Museum in York, and they'll let you walk on the Roman mosaics as long as you take your shoes off! :D
Actually, the oldest building left is the old Canmore Hotel which is a little farther up the street it was built in 1890

I'm glad it arrived Randy :) I have been so busy recently, I've not had much of a chance to send out many gifts, but hope to be able to make up for that soon. You are very kind my friend :) You should find your new Lambsfoot here somewhere ;)

I did thanks John, costs as much as a bottle of wine here, but it's a tasty beverage :) Thank you for the kind words my friend :)

Good perspective Christian, though I don't think these knives deserve a reputation as "nail-breakers"

Thanks Vince :)

That's looking very nice :)

Cool composition Vince, and a lovely crisp pic, which shows your Lambsfoot blade off to perfection :)

A fine family photo Rachel :) I agree with you about the smooth bone

I always thought the best emergency ration was whisky?! ;)
I love the old ones for their character. Love the stag, too. Hope you didn’t forget your Ovaltine tablets on your York outing.

@donn That meat pie looks as tasty as your Lamb accompaniment.

joeradza joeradza What a wonderful, enviable duo in that nice image.

pjsjr pjsjr Sleek and Sexy. The car too.:)

@Half/Stop Your Ebony Lamb looks great with the polish.

JohnDF JohnDF I disagree with your self assessment regarding image quality. Your pride and passion with your Lambsfoot comes thru quite clearly. I am wondering if you made the cuts in the table with your Lamb.:)

I need to find out where EXACTLY it was sourced John, maybe an ancient curse covers the land where it grew, perhaps it was uprooted from a spooky old graveyard...
I was thinking furniture from a cursed pirate ship.

 What could be as special as smooth white camel bone!?!
Maybe an ebony small. :D

Since I was a young man, Porsche has been my fav...
Gotta dream big, right?
My favorites have always been trucks and Jeeps, I'm so blue collar.

Wow, that is incredible Dave  I love history, but one of the things, I enjoy so much about the history of the 'New World', is that compared to 'history' here, the exciting stuff is so recent, you're only going back to my great-grandfather's time :) The Canmore Hotel looks like a great place to stay

I don't think they make them anymore Harvey :( ;) I am flattered! :D That is a great pic my friend, amazing! :)

That's funny, great picture!

I can see it John, the British Navy probably did something bad to them! What can we do to lift the curse?

I hope it's okay to include a non-lambs foot. Another iconic wood handled traditional from the north Atlantic. Lambsfoot and barrel.View attachment 1088022

Just Lambsfoot knives please Alan, otherwise with fabulous additions like that, we'll end up discussing Barrel Knives (already had one Lambsfoot thread flooded with Sheepsfoot and Wharncliffe pics)

Thanks, Jack, your right on the main street with a lot of sidewalk restaurants and coffee shops. The weekends are busy with folks from Calgary getting away from the city.

We could start by returning all the cursed pirate's gold...

Good idea John! That's a great pic my friend :D

I wondered if perhaps the Ironwood had come from Pirate Jenny's scrubbing brush?!

Sounds like a great place to visit Dave :) Though I imagine that, living there, you get to find the tourists a bit tiresome? You certainly live in a spectacularly beautiful part of the world :)
