Good variety. Nice collection.

I'm really looking forward to the new Godzilla movie:thumbsup:
Me too. I like the twist of the monsters being titans.

Called a plumber last week myself. And my wife told me recently the ceiling in our garage is wet. May need to fix roof.
When it rains, it pours. Sorry, thoughtless pun. :D

I like the one with Raymond Burr. The ones made in the '60s were good too.
The old ones were fantastic! Back when Blockbuster was a thing, we'd add on a Godzilla movie for a dollar.

Time for a gratuitous lambsfoot pic:

Pile side.
Nobody's messingwith that beautiful Lamb with that grumpy old goat standing guard.

Nice bunch of Lambs right there.

LOL Jack! Your credentials as a hard Tike are cast iron! :D Sounds like you were squatting somewhere though....
I'm a tad *ahem* younger than yourself,:D but I also grew up in a house without central heating and a coal fire with back boiler for hot water. I'm 46 and you mention to folk literally not 10 years younger than me that you grew up in a house without double glazing and they look at you skew wift.
I remember getting into an argument with some over-educated 'youngster' in a pub in York. I'd been talking to my mates about when I worked on the fresh produce markets in London, doing 2-3 night-shifts a week between 11-15 years old. This stuck-up fool butted in and effectively called me a liar and started twitting on about social services, law about school attendence and other stuff that meant nothing in reality. Seriously, we've gone soft....

Squatters wouldn't have stood for those conditions mate, they'd have found somewhere BETTER! :D The house belonged to a friend of mine. It got even worse years later after they demolished the house next door, and it became the end-terrace. It turned out that the central support pillars, from the cellar and the first floor, were missing! By that time, some years after I had found better accommodation, my mate had moved out and rented the house to an old biker I knew slightly. He told me that, towards the end, when it was demolished, he would lie in bed, protected by a home-made wooden structure, as big pieces of the roof would regularly come crashing down! When the surveyor discovered the absence of the support pillars, he literally ran straight out of the house in fear of the building's imminent collapse! :D

Very grateful Jack. Now what I am missing is a stag sambar, type AC!!!:thumbsup:

Would you settle for a Sambar stag Barlow? ;)

Crikey Jack! Sounds like you dodged a bullet (or a brick or roof tile) there . Another story for your book surely... :D

Awesome!

Finally some movement on my package finally out of customs and into the hands of the USPS...

Couple more days and the damlamb will be here!

Seems to me Mathew Broderick was in a Godzilla remake about the same time as Jessica Lange and some guys did a King Kong remake. Both were intended to have a giant robotic monster and both had to fall back on a guy in a suit.

I think Broderick would have been too young to be in a film at the same time as the King Kong remake, which was about 1976 or 1977. I think. Doesnt matter, I was just trying to remember that Godzilla movie and I can't.

Sheffield bookshops seem to have a special 'Old Git' section, with a range of self-published volumes, with titles like "The Good Old Days: How great it used to be, and how rotten it is today" and "We Never Had No Bananas For Five Years Y'Know?!"

A beautiful day here in California...

Lovely pic John :)

I made that post with some irony o_O :D  Bunch of Southern pansies! o_O  :D

That's good to hear Taylor

I "know a guy" who sells 'stainless steel downrigger fishing weights' on line and will no longer ship to Canada because of the customs hassle.
One time, a customer reported that he missed an entire fishing season while his order sat in customs  Lesson learned :(

A few pages back, I mentioned that I took a pic on the way to the mailbox. Like José, I received a Buffalo Horn that I picked up on the exchange :D
