Gun Picture Thread

Hey 91bravo 91bravo , I see you like the K2 magpul grips, me too and for quite a few years that's what i've ran on AR's and AK's, but a while back a guy turned me on to Driven Arms and their Shadow Crossover grips, made to simulate the grip on a CZ Shadow, and they are so nice I'm running them on everything now. Check 'em out, the guys who run the company are super-cool, I helped them out with early testing and fine-tuning of the AK version.
Looks comfy! Does it have a palm swell? If you send me one, I’ll test it out 😄

I wonder about the mag and factory mag release interaction as well.

The video you posted earlier identifies Shield Arms and their 15 round magazines. Currently using that system, and they require switching to a metal magazine release:

Also, agree with 91bravo 91bravo , I’m sure with the two big names that put these factory ones out they will function appropriately. I have some 15 round factories on order, as well. Still interested to see if those empty mags drop cleanly, as talked about in the video. 🙂
I tried the Shield arms 15 round mags when they came out. Absolute garbage in my opinion. Wouldn’t feed right, wouldn’t lock back when empty. This was with 3 of their mags and the steel mag catch. Returned everything back to stock and all was good.

Wow! Sorry to hear that experience!!…….but also good to know!

I switched mine over, my sons 43x is still stock (thinking of trying the new factory Glock mags on that one)…..I haven’t had any issues with my Shield mags to date, but with that said only have a handful of shooting trips with them. Talking like >200 rounds. Appreciate the heads up, and I’ll be watching them closely!! 🙂

When it comes to range toys, I’ll try different stuff out to improve trigger pull, mitigate recoil, etc. Carrying for self defense, which is a Glock 90% of the time, it remains stock. I’ll change out the crappy factory sights for tritium, a custom backplate or a magwell, but the functionality mechanisms of the gun remain stock.

It’s hit or miss with them shield mags. I hear the gen 2s are better. My buddy shoots the PSA 15 rounders and he hasn’t had any issues. I’m sure the new Glock branded 15 rounders will be fine, or else they wouldn’t put their stamp on it.

It does have a palm swell! The whole thing is sculptured in a way that's hard to see completely in pics, at the link I posted you can scroll down on the left side row of pics and there's some angle shots, here's one from the rear (pics too big to post here): https://i0.wp.com/drivenarmsco.com/...er-Grip-SCG-Rear-New.png?resize=680,680&ssl=1

You're not getting mine, lol, I was actually thinking about trying the new longtail version myself as I have XL hands and it might be good to try on my accuracy build. They're just crazy comfy. Only issue now is I have a pile of K2 grips doing nothing but hanging out with other old grips and crap in my parts box.😄

I'm not usually into boutique parts unless they just really get the job done, so it was a tough pill to swallow paying that much for a grip the first time, after I got the first one though I was like what can I sell to offset the cost of like 5 of these things?
