Yeah I like that one. Let me know how much more expensive and I guess I'll decide between the two then. Thanks man and they look awesome!
The Zebra version show above will be $30. The Burl version, will likely be closer to $40. No more than $50. Totally depends on material cost, but I think I can get material cheap enough that it will not be more than $50.

I couldn't find burl at a reasonable rate. I found instead Claro Walnut which is a premium version. The Cyborg as I'll call it has the traditional dark/grey color of walnut with some interesting grain patterns that almost makes it look like alien skin.

Here are some carving pics I thought looked cool.

If you like it, it will be the same cost as the Zebra, $30. No holes have been carved yet so let me know if you want it, and how to drill the hole (horizontal through the sides or through the top). I had a lot of fun with this one. It had been so long I had to relearn. :D

Absolutely I'll take it but is that with the BLO already on it or will it darken up when it's rubbed down? As far as holes, well I want to run a necklace through it that is slightly larger than 3/16 but just under 1/4 through it but I'm not sure if the skull is large enough to drill a 1/4 inch hole in it (hard to tell from the pics what size it is) So unless you think you can get a hole that big through it horizontally, I'll just attach a different hanger to it when I get it. If you CAN get one in there then by all means you have less chance of screwing it up than I do if I tried it so go ahead. If You can't get a hole in it, then I'm surely not going to try.

Wood is one of those great mysteries. I don't know a lot about walnut. If it's anything like cocobolo you can expect it to darken with time. The model above has BLO applied. I would expect it to darken considering how light it looks sanded compared to the stock color.

I will check tomorrow if the model will accept a 1/4 hole through the sides. I think it will look awesome as a necklace. It is a very bold design and I look forward to pics of your necklace.

Generally speaking, the holes in the side are smaller than 3/16. The issue is the location of the eyes. I'll review it tomorrow and let you know.

Yeah, I'm surprise that walnut of any kind is that light but...hell I don't care. If the thing will accept holes I'll be wearing it no matter what! I guess I should have asked....it's the one on the right correct?

Just checking in to make sure I got the PayPal correct. Heading out of town tomorrow and won't have any Internet connection for the weekend.

Yeah, it's the one on the right.

Can you tell me more about your necklace? I think I can put a 1/4 inch hole, but it won't go straight through. I will have to put it in at an angle. If you're using something solid like a shackle that won't work, but if it something like a thick cord it may work.

I got a 7/32 through straight.

It's not solid. Basically a chain style and fairly flexible. What kind of angle do you mean? Like a V that goes towards the back of the skull? Actually 7/32 would probably do it as the 1/4 inch is slightly larger than the chain and 3/16 is probably just the size of the chain so 7/32....works I fairly sure.

7/32 went straight through so we are good. The pic above is with the 7/32. I also sanded the hole so it's probably a hair wider than 7/32. My 1/4 drill bit won't go through so it should be a perfect fit.

The cost is $30 as discussed. You can PayPal me at willydiggerATcomcastDOTnet.

Make sure you post pics of the final necklace. I'd love to see it! :D

Money sent. I'll post pics of the whole thing when I get it all put together! Thank you very much!

I would assume my address was on the paypal account? I just realized that I never actually put it down on anything I sent you.

I decided to replace my zebra wood villain necklace with a new cocobolo version with a Villain Stretch. After making the cocobolo scales for my Benchmade Bone Collector, I had some PREMIUM scrap left over. By premium, it has the yellow and orange sunburst patterns. I took a few pictures along the way.

Here is the scrap. You can tell it will have the sunburst pattern when you see the saw dust changing colors while you cut it. :D

Sanded and rounded. Fantastic grain and colors.

Here is a bead shot. The pieces are still uncoated, but the Villain and bottom two beads were done yesterday. If you look closely at the top two beads (done today) compared to the others you can see how the cocobolo darkens.

Quick pic of the mods to the Nano. I trim the very top of the lanyard hole and I widen the hole to fit 550 cord.

Here is a cool pic of the different colors that appear while sanding. Almond, orange, yellow, brown, awesome.

Here is a good pic of the exact same cocobolo. The knife has been treated with BLO and was done a couple weeks ago. It develops a very deep rich color.

The paracord I kept foliage green like the zebra wood version. Between the beads is black chinese knot cord in a noose knot.

Just got the villain in the mail today. This thing looks awesome! Couldn't be happier
May be interested in a cyborg next.
Thanks again
