hey willy you got any skulls made brother?

Looking mainly for a wooden one. I love skulls and freakin love the look of these ones. I might try to mess around with some engraving. looks like its fun, although though I have no artistic skill whatsoever.

Lemme know man, thanks alot!

I have an American Koa, Cocobolo Stretch, and Marble wood available at the moment. Let me know if you like any of those. I really like the wood versions too. I also have a Bocote Meathead available too.

+1 on the sticker!
Looking forward to the Osage Meathead & I hope you can do something with the Micarta.
The Osaga arrived today! That is a really cool wood. It is more yellow than I expected. Here is the completed Villain! :D

Diggin' it willy!
I was messing around with some today & made a couple of beads & was surprised to see what looked like some chatoyance in it after polishing with some 000 scotch-brite.

Thanks for that word. I've been trying to describe koa for the longest time using iridescence.

You are right. When I first received the wood I check it out. With Koa there are parts of the wood that has more than others. With the carvings I've done with the Osage, I tried to put the most chatoyance side on the face. There is no way I could capture it on camera, but I'm glad you saw it.

Here is the Meathead! I practiced doing a Villain last night so I knew what I was dealing with before trying the Meathead. IMO it turned out great!

The Meathead looks great willy, thanks for getting it done so quick.

That's some nice looking Osage there. The cool thing about Osage is that it darkens a lot as it ages. It'll be a really golden color when you first finish it but will darken to a very dark brown over a long period of time and with exposure to the sun. I used to make longbows out of the stuff, smells great when you cut it doesn't it :D

Dealing with such a small piece it needs to smell really good or really bad. I don't think I noticed with the Osage. Cocobolo smells wonderful and acrylic smells terrible! :D

I look forward to seeing it aged after a while. I like that aspect of certain woods.

Here is a mini Villain made from micarta. Surprisingly difficult to carve. The more you polish the darker it gets. Polished the middle face for contrast. Shown with Everdeen Green and a penny for size comparison.

Here are a couple requested pieces. First up is Confetti and Zebra. The Zebra is kind of hypnotizing!

Here is a beautiful (color and grain) cocobolo stretch. This was requested without the top hole.

It's not a great pic but here's the skull on the necklace, it worked great but then it was too big to hide under my shirt and I couldn't wear it to work. Since I never take the necklace off, except for that time, I can't keep it on there so now it hangs around the mirror in my truck:

Yeah,I love how it ages, but didn't notice a smell with the little bit of work I did with it making a couple of beads.

Diggin' the Micarta!

But it shouldn't darken with hand sanding, did you use a wheel to polish it?

Sorry to hear the necklace idea didn't work out. Around the mirror is a great alternative though.
