Has Busse destroyed your interest in other fixed blades?

I bought my first Busse, Flying Mojo, and got it a month or so back, I love it. But I still enjoy my ZT0100, one of my smaller strider fixed blades that I keep on my holster, I also have an American Kami M13 on the way and a Nocturnal HBAR. I love blades, and some may never be used as hard as these, but it doesn't stop me from picking up designs that get my attention.

And funny you guys talking about Randall. Was over at my boss' house the other day. He was bragging about this knife he had and a little .38. He's not a knife or a gun guy, so when he wanted to show me I kinda had a whatever attitude. He pulls out this huge Bowie and from a distance I thought it was gonna be a cheap Walmart knife. He handed it to me and I looked at it and it was a friggin Randall Bowie! I was like holy shit dude do you even realize what this thing is worth? He said his gpa gave it to him and he was told it was a pretty expensive blade.

Miller Bros is legit my friend.....they take overbuilt to a new level. They are some HEAVY freiken blades but incredibly sharp from the shop as well. I have their large dagger and it cut me without even knowing for ten minutes. I am still loyal to Busse but Miller Bros is a great and growing company as well! I picked up one of their Waki variants at Blade. The second I held it I knew I was screwed. They have a lot of cool designs

Some REALLY nice guys as well. They will draw up your design real quick if you looking for a custom or a standard model with some custom features. Of course this was back when they weren't near as busy. Their work that they post on Facebook every couple of days gets more and more impressive
 
Not. It did sparked me looking into others. Life is too short to just have INFI though i must say the Mistresses are sexy.
 
If you don't want to "cheat" on Busse, don't start making your own blades. Once you have the means, materials and tools, its becomes a whole new obsession. You look at your "bought" knives and wonder how something was done and what you can do to make it better (for your own personal reasons). You try, fail, try again, fail, but once you have something that can slash, chop and stab with that was made from your own two hands, forget it, you are screwed!! You will fall asleep with a Busse under your pillow and wake up with your busted up, crooked, POS you made from a roaring 20's locomotive spring lying there instead. Your Busse knives may still be prettier, but your own creations end up being the chunky girl with the jacked up grill and cheeks resembling the surface of the moon that's a blast to hang out with.

Don't do it...
 
Yeah, if busse lowered their prices, and sent out refined edges, and at least offered a sheath, yeah then I'd only look at busse.

But you know.
 
When it comes to BIG knives that are not machetes... Or knives that might be used for batoning or chopping, I think Busse is the only way to go. There's no steel out there that combines the unmatched durability and decent rust resistance of INFI. It would be nice if Busse made a full-sized machete.
 
If you guys had any idea of how many different brands and makers I own, you'd laugh. It is ridiculous.
 
My Rats have pretty much ruined me for production knives but I always have a spot for a nice custom or semi custom.

My guess is Cobalt owns no less than 50 different makers/brands.

yep - all I buy - and alli use / own except for customs, and previously purchased perfect RAT/RC/ESEE/DPX. TOPS HOG, Becker for GF, maybe a Bravo 1 in the future...?
