Have you handled a Spyderco lately?

I buy them for different steels and it is so easy to grind a wave into the blade, my last one is an endura in k390, now that takes an edge.

Lately, I find myself somewhat obsessed with Spyderco’s FRN. I just love the stuff.

Got a Para 3 Salt Magnacut on the way. It will be my first Spyderco with Golden, Colorado FRN. My others are Seki or China FRN. Both of which are fantastic.

That’s the Spyderco Tuff.

That knife looks so bad #ss.

My OG Schempp Persian. Mentioned this in another thread and probably have pics of it elsewhere. I really like Spydies but somehow this is the only one I have left. I got it as a present over 20 years ago.

I love holding it and it disappears into my back pocket. Nice edge on the VG10. But I'm a doofus, I grew up using pocketknives and kitchen knives with much straighter edges, and I've never been comfortable with the backswept blade. I also don't really like the backlock in my hand. And I lived for a long time in places where taking it out of the house would've gotten me in trouble. So as awesome as this knife is, and as much as I've used it here and there, I've never really bonded with it. I'm trying to carry it and find reasons to use it as much as possible. Maybe we will come to some sort of rapprochement.

A few years ago I was given a large-ish Spiderco for Christmas. It's a great kn life with a high alloy blade and sharp as . . .well as sharp as I need it to be.

I don't like it. As George Castanza might have said, Its not the knife, it's me. I just don't have the aesthetic appreciation for that iconic hump with eye hole look.

Make great gifts for those who do like them . . .they are great knives.
