Have you lost a knife? Cuz I just lost my first one.

Just found one I was pining about that was lost for 2-years!

Ugg. Yesterday was out catching Pokémon with my brother and his wife. Had my paramilitary 2 sprint in brown and s35vn on me. Got home and realized it was gone :(. Being a teenager a $165 knife is hard to swollow.
Have you lost a knife? What was it? Make me not feel like such an idiot. Surely I'm not alone.

I live in New Orleans but I fly to Boston a couple times a month for work and I have lost a couple knives to TSA. I carry a maxpedition testudo that has a bunch of pockets I sometimes forget about when I'm doing my pre-trip check to make sure I'm not carrying anything I can't go through security with. Two years ago I lost a Spyderco Pacific Salt and on my most recent trip I forgot about a Bradford Guardian 3 that was in one of the pockets I had forgotten to check. I felt like an idiot when they pulled me out of line and pulled it out of my bag. I've already replaced the Spyderco and I think I'm going to use the recent loss as a justification to buy a new guardian 3 with a flat grind and the new micarta scales he released recently.

For a long time I'd lose a SAK about every 2 years, that finally quit. I'd lose one and that was an excuse to try a different one.

The best knife I've ever lost was a a lone wolf knife I got at the NRA Whittington center on their 25th anniversary. It still haunts me to this day. Not because it was an incredibly high quality knife, but only people who went there that year got one

Yup- lost a sebenza from my pocket. An older regular model. Replaced it with a seb25, but still not the same. My condolences buddy!

I lost many cheaper knives as a kid but the one that sticks with me was when I was 22, I lost a Benchmade Model 42MC. Not a terribly common knife. It'd go for a high price even used these days. Needless to say, I can't afford to replace it. Also, my ESEE model 6P CP has been missing for a couple months :(

Maybe it's living in Florida my whole life, but the water eats my knives! I think I have lost three budget folders now and all are in the water somewhere. I know one is in the Wekiva river after slipping out of my hand while kayaking, and one is in the ocean down around Miami. If I go near water now, and am carrying anything I remotely like, it's going on a lanyard attached to my belt loop!

You will learn that in life, losing a $165 knife is nothing compared to what you WILL waste money on.

I've lost a few knives over the years.

Luckily there were less expensive knives, but it still sucks loosing any knife.

My last knife I lost was a Kershaw Zing.

Being and adult with 4 teenagers and a toddler, $165 loss is hard to swallow!
I lost my S&M scout, redbone handles. Carried it new for my 2nd marriage, and daily after.
Until the day I cut up numerous apples and oranges for ours and nieces and nephews.
I must have left it laying where I used it, cleaned and closed, and gotten distracted while cleaning my hands. @ $75 for that one, tough lesson learned.

Only knife I ever lost was a nice Benchmade that was clipped into a pocket. No more clips for me. Ever.

I'm very aware of my knives. The only knife I ever lost was when I first started using knives and owned a 12$ tac force. Never lost any of my spydercos, kershaws or zero tolerance

I reached into my pocket at work a couple days ago and my new Rockstead Chi was gone! I walked back to the car and saw it laying on my carseat. Pretty scary nonetheless! Note to self: always use the pocket clip with a slippery knife.
