Have you lost a knife? Cuz I just lost my first one.

Lost a Busse Sar 3 in a fishing trip after using it for years. I bought it in 2010. Not saying I'm glad it's in the bottom of the ocean at 150 feet, but it made me buy a Busse active duty infi satin blade and I honestly enjoy it. I have secure clips for that one.

My first auto, a boker magnum. loved that knife. Except for the 2 screws came out of the handle. But still an awesome knife for $35 from a flea market. Hope its around somewhere but I haven't seen it in years.

I find myself touching my pocket every now and then to make sure my buddy is still there..this ever since I lost one from my pocket.
Not a huge loss. It was a S&W back then but still a very loyal knife.

Lost a few back in my bush partying days. Now I find them while metal detecting.

I made this little damascus fixed blade many years ago. I believe I lost it in Colorado Springs while in the process of walking up on stage.
It's not valuable to anyone but me, but it still bothers me.

I always had cheap knives growing up because of the fear of losing it. However, ever since i bought my first benchmade, ive been lucky enough to hold onto that 707 and every knife since. Now i only own nice knives (100-$300), i think it makes me pay better attention.

Most of us will occasionally loose a knife if you carry one most of the time. I have. But I keep replacements for my favorites.

Many years ago, after getting out of a friends car, I realized the Blade magazine Spyderco Q I had clipped to my right front pants pocket was gone. The clip itself
was one of those wire types and wasn't all that secure. I carefully retraced my steps all the way back to the car where I found my knife lying in the gutter right
outside the passenger door. Pretty much stopped using pocket clips at that point in favor of belt sheaths and pouches.

i had my beloved yellow case trapper walk out of my pocket some time ago. No clue where I lost it and have yet to find it. Hopefully someone found it and put it to use rather than rusting to crap somewhere on the ground.

Sebenza 21 damascus. Lost it earlier this year after owning it for a few years. It stung a lot given that it was my first nice knife that I bought after saving up all summer for it when I was 16. I ended up having to buy a new one because I just couldn't find a knife I liked as much.

Lost several cheaper folders over the years, but nothing hurt so bad as the last two. To this day it still almost makes me want to vomit just thinking about it.

Both were fixed blades and I'm pretty sure both were lost while camping.

First one lost was my Cold Steel Recon Tanto (left on a picnic bench at a semi-busy campground I'm betting). And the second was my USMC Kabar full-size. (lost on another extended, outdoor excursion) Both were basically brand new knives having done little more other than whittle a few sticks. :(

I lost my good old "GIN-1" Spyderco Police model (plain edge) that I carried when I was younger. I haven't replaced it because I don't like the extra clip holes on the new ones.

I lost my Benchmade Mini Dejavoo later on. I haven't replaced it because it's become an outpriced collector's blade.

Both were due to slippery clips, vigorous physical activity, and the lack of a lanyard. I'd replace both if I could. :`-(

I lost my first knife back in December. Kizer Ki405, superb knife. I was absolutely heartbroken, not only to lose a $100 knife, but for me to actually lose a knife is just bad. I spent months wracking my brain trying to figure out where it was, because I remembered the last day I had it. I finally settled that it had to be in my friend's old car which he subsequently sold a few weeks later. Lo and behold, I find a hoodie a few days ago I haven't worn since that day, and that knife, some gum, and some mints are in the pocket.

Moral of the story is sometimes lost knives turn back up. Also don't keep a knife in your jacket pocket.
