Time to make pickled Mango again......

¡Tell us more about that pickled Mango! My relationship with Mango is limited to mango juice during the 9 months I lived in Cairo (more of a thick soup to be fair, I think they add even moooooore sugar to it)... and the ocassional mango I buy here in Spain to put a few diced pieces in my overnight oats... tasty!

Some Muscovy ducks walking around the farm this morning.

Using and enjoying this Schrade gifted by a generous member. I was instructed to give this to my oldest son, which I did. I am just “borrowing” it. ;)

Despite all the nutty stuff happening, I am still trying to keep the farm going.

Using a couple of Cold Steels to keep me company.

Did you mean to photograph that little scorpion in the last picture or was that a bonus?
Be well,
H

It’s important to harvest green Chinese variety for pickling. Peel and cut, then marinate in white vinegar (there are variations to this), sugar, sea salt, and water. Add Li Hing powder and maybe a few dried plum.

Yeah...kinda snuck him in there... :)

Time to make pickled Mango again. I tried the Benchmade mini Griptillian to see how it peeled. Not bad, but a peeler works way better. The Grip worked great for removing stems.

Man this is such a great thread. Thanks for the hours of entertainment. This is one of the few threads you can read from first until current and it just doesn't get old. Great thread brother.

Brah, you know you so lucky you get to get out!
Been stuck inside for too long. All the beaches and parks closed!
Beautiful day! Sheesh!
Maybe I just go walk around the block.
Take some Benchmade with me.

Aloha Islanders,

I am over on Da Big Island. I just started back to work on the Submarine. I have been at least getting some diving in and Bike riding. Stay safe but get outside, it is too nice to stay in all the time.

Aloha out.

Opened this oldie but goodie today to start using in the kitchen. My wife loves these knives and so do I.

Took a walk through a forest to collect some bamboo to make trellises for some beans and tomatoes. The SP53 bashed through without much grace, but did the job.

Used the Cold Steel Recon 1 to cut some rope to tie down the bamboo. Fantastic EDC knife.
