Hawk fighting pou.

Well actually these are my urban edc's when I'm in the woods I normally have about 2 fixed blades and no folders.

I do not carry a gun, yet, I carry my knives because people like you that fear me and people that don't fear me sometimes need to be protected.

Please google civilian sheep dog, there is an excrlent speech.

I actually hunt zombie coyotes. Also the zombie canadians that come here during the winter.

I practise all the time with my hawks. Also with a naginata, jo staff, and jujitsu. Why have something if you do not know how to use it? BTW I had wrapped my hawk handle (CS trail) with para and after working out with it awhile I took it off. Any one else have that experince.

Uh I went up to a very high elevation from a low one, and my wrap loosened up:(
But while I'm up here I'm gonna set my head.

Offense is not taken....but we are not the ones to fear….
Fear the criminals that use the dull rusty blade to try and take a wallet or hurt a loved one.

But I carry two guns three knives...extra ammo and just about everything a boy scout needs in a "Get me home bag"

Now let me lay to rest your fears that I am some psycho path gun/weapon nut

I am Prior Military, prior LEO both local and fed....and now a civilian gunsmith for the Army....
Upstanding citizen
I pay my taxes
I do not assault people...
I am the biggest coward when it comes to everyday avoidable confrontation/drama (but not on serious matters of protecting others/myself/family) (in other words no need to flex my muscles or chest thump in public)
Now I am not Bruce Lee or Superman
I do not go looking for trouble
But when things happen in life that I cannot walk away from I will not be a victim
Even if you leave anything but the mundane out of this, I can cut a piece of string, I can loan you a knife to cut a piece of string, I can abuse one of the knives and break it and still be able to cut a piece of string.
I think you get the point my friend

And when I go into the wilderness in addition, I carry a rifle and an Axe/Tomahawk (just to stay on topic)

ETA: Cargo pockets, good holster/belt combo and a Murse...its how I roll....

Well said. I carry an Emerson Commander & usually an Izula everyday I also carry my pistol with me. I do not carry my hawk daily. However like the above i take it with me to the woods. I pretty much dress like Burningcort with the exception of the murse. I have a small pack that goes to the car with me daily & back in with me at home.

I throw hawks for fun but would love to learn more about fighting with them. Not that I think I will defend my home with them (but you never know) more the fact I enjoy just knowing how to use what I have. I shoot my guns I use my knives. I feel the same way about my hawks I guess.

In my opinion...

The only people who should frighten one are the stone cold psyhco killers, persons such as Mr. Richard Kuklinski. Everyone else you can get out of their way. Seriously guys: you would all do well to watch this video...

With persons like Mr. Kuklinski you never see it comming. One second you're alive. The next...you're d e a d.

Yeah because us civilians are in line to be murdered by a hitman.

Paranoia strikes deep.

I am interested in learning how to fight with a hawk, but more so for the interest of knowing it.

I normally carry a "get outa dodge" kit with me in my vehicle but I'm having to down size considerally because at this time I'm stuck on crutches and just can't really carry what I'd like to.

Been a buckskinner for at least 25 years. Always nice to throw a hawk. It does have some what of a cool factor, and they are fairly standard in camp. I then don't have to baton with my knife.

I carry knives and hawks as tools not weapons. Here in Canada if you tell a cop that your knife is for self defence you are admitting that it is a weapon and that will get you arrested.

Regards

Robin

I carry because its my constitutional right to keep and bear arms and because I can. It doesn't mean I'm paranoid, just that I will protect myself from criminals if they try to harm me or my family because the police don't have to protect us. I also carry a knife or two with me.

He killed some kids in a car because they cut him off

Back to topic, I've got three hawks, haven't tried them as fighters but I could see how they would be effective
My next hawk will be a trench hawk I think

Okay I watched all of the videos start to finish.

Richard Kuklinski is one man, Jack the Ripper was one man, Charles manson was one man, Jeffery dommer was one man. According to the US Census the United states is 300,000,000 people strong. Take out those four and you still have 299,999,994.

By all means protect yourself and your family, you have every right to; I'm simply saying that sometimes there is such a thing as too much. Get an alarm for your home and keep a bat, hammer or some sort of close quarters protection near, home invasion is pretty common, it's happened to me three times in only 20 years, but carrying multiple knives and guns on your person for defense? Ehhhh.

I'm sure many of you are more experienced than me but as this is a discussion board where we post our opinions and thoughts, I'm simply following the guide lines.
