Help CapeCod508 scammed me

Please post any and all contact information for this person. His registration email address is no longer valid. He was active on the site yesterday. To those of you that he owes, contacting his local law enforcement is always an option as is the Postal Inspector office if the USPS was used.

He scammed me, I posted a thread. His name is Chris Taber. The gmail he gave me is:

ctaber2011@gmail.com

Says he works at City State Entertainment. The address he put for return on the package is:

CC Survival and Prepping
7 Raymond Ave.
S. Yarmouth, MA 02664

He shipped from the S. Yarmouth USPS as well. I might try calling the local police department there, or have my Uncle (Who is the sheriff for our county) give a courtesy call. Not sure if that'll help at all.
 
I sent a message to his gmail account informing him he has 1 week to take care of these issues or his account will be removed. I know this may not help those of you out money or property but there isn't much else we can do besides encouraging you to pursue action through local law enforcement and the Postal Inspector's office.

I don't know if calling the Post Office or Police is a better option at this point. Who ever else has been scammed, please email me so we can keep in contact of what happens. This guy obviously used real addresses, so he slipped up somewhere.
 
Quick search of the South Yarmouth white pages yielded this number for the Beacon street address: Home (508) 694-6461

Might be worth a call.

YES... I couldn't agree more, I think it should be made clear to everybody that if your a new guy with little to no feedback you must ship first in a trade..

Once I had a guy with no feedback ask for a trade (for my sebenza 21)... His offer was great, when I asked him to ship first b/c of feedback, MAGICALLY I never heard from him again (LOL)...

Anyway, goodluck with getting your knife.... a year or 2 ago I got dupped in a trade (for a cold steel AK-47)..... that will be the last time!

I got scammed too, but i contacted him and he told me he shipped the wrong items, mixed up the labels etc, but said he would try to make it right. He said he contacted the other 2 people who recieved the more expensive knives but they have not contacted him..of course not. He said he would try to make it right though...im not gonna waste too much time on it over a few bucks, but im hoping he makes it right.

Look up twaldoup1980@gmail.com on Trade forum.... feel like a feckin idiot...two days ago I shipped a BM rift to "her" after she "shipped" an orange triage. It is due here in a little while. The address I shipped to was 108 Beacon street in S, Yarmouth. Now I see this address ....I suspect that I have an empty box on the way and that email is no longer working...

He emailed me. Funny how once I mention the police he finally responds. Don't believe a bit of it:

"I'm sorry i wasn't around for a couple days, i recieved an email from 2 other people saying they recieved the wrong item. I emailed 2 of the people and have not heard a reply..can you remind me what you sent and what you recieved? I'm dealing with knifejunkey at the moment and trying to figure out a way to make reparations. I am on a fixed SSDI income so money is hard to come by, but i can try to make it right somehow. Let me know, if you feel you need to call the police over a mistake, its up to you."

Also, we will have another member posting in here who was scammed earlier by him as well, but got stuff resolved. Here is the email he gave me:

"He didn't rip me off but he did lie to me. I got my stuff back but he refuses to explain what happened or why he failed to ship his end. He told me it shipped but never provided tracking and it never arrived. After no response to my emails I received my Sharpmaker back. He does not respond to my emails and all I'm asking for is an explanation. If you start a post in the feedback section let me know and I will post in it. Hope things get worked out for you.

UPDATE-

As I said, two days ago one "Tera Waldroup" allegedly ships a BM triage to me. Upon seeing shipping document I stupidly ship a BM rift 2 yesterday from Long Island to Mass. (108 Beacon Street in S Yarmouth)

Today I see the fact that CapeCod508 and twaldroup1980 seem to share a shipping address and realize that I may be scammed. An hour ago, the package from Mass shows up and it is a video game with a note of thanks apologizing for the delay as she had to "ship 9 packages".... obliviously no BM Triage ;-)

The good news is that since I shipped yesterday in the PM, my parcel just left LI this afternoon en route to Cape Cod. I placed an intercept on it and the PM says he is certain that I will get it back.

This scammer has some chutzpah and is still on the trading forum soliciting deals and the terawaldroup address is ng. Perhaps the thread should be changed to reflect the fact that these two scammers are one n the same, as it may help someone else.

You are 2 of the positive feedback for twaldroup1980, who has the same mailing address as CapeCod508 who scammed you. Doesn't make sense to me.

twardroup1980, CapeCod508, sethritchie1, jazzyj488; might want to be looked into as it looks like they might be using multiple accounts to boost feedback score (just looking through the thread they've posted in.

Capecod508 was on vaction an is tryin to make things right. The problem is the guys that where trading for cheep knives and got really nice blades wont give them up.

I shipped a BM Rift and got a video game, The email is no longer working and have had no contact !!! Check out terawaldroup's feedback, the people names do not match the threads.....I don't know who is worse, the scammers or shills like yourself ....What are you smoking there???

I could tell from the back and forth with "Tera" that something was amiss. Claiming that's she's a beginner in the knife world but yet having so many nice knives to trade. Tried to get me to ship first and things like that. Sometimes we were in a back and forth convo thru email and poof she was gone. The. New email from her with a new trade.
The. Her email stopped working.


Glad I didn't send mine out!! I hate people were rob, steal, and scam.

I hope everyone gets their property back. Good luck. If anyone lives by that address please go there and punchhim/her in the throat for me :)

Don't believe that shit. He told me he was busy at work this whole week. It's proven that he has alternate accounts. He told me he shipped out 6 packages and told someone else 9. He's a scammer, just hope we get our shit back
