Help CapeCod508 scammed me

He told me he already traded my sharpmaker and asked if I wanted another knife. I'm calling the cops if he doesn't give me money or my sharpmaker. I'm done with the crap

This was his response-

"I have made a mistake and mixed up packages...everyone is harrassing me and i dont even know what went where, most have been traded already. I have done nothing wrong. im going to disable my email now because i cant keep getting harrassed. do what you need to do."

Doubt it's traded, probably trying to bide time to scam more people.

A mod needs to check out the other member names I posted.

You are 2 of the positive feedback for twaldroup1980, who has the same mailing address as CapeCod508 who scammed you. Doesn't make sense to me.

twardroup1980, CapeCod508, sethritchie1, jazzyj488; might want to be looked into as it looks like they might be using multiple accounts to boost feedback score (just looking through the thread they've posted in.

Also, we will have another member posting in here who was scammed earlier by him as well, but got stuff resolved. Here is the email he gave me:

"He didn't rip me off but he did lie to me. I got my stuff back but he refuses to explain what happened or why he failed to ship his end. He told me it shipped but never provided tracking and it never arrived. After no response to my emails I received my Sharpmaker back. He does not respond to my emails and all I'm asking for is an explanation. If you start a post in the feedback section let me know and I will post in it. Hope things get worked out for you.
Take care"
I was the member who wrote that. I have my Sharpmaker back and hope the other issues get resolved.

Sheesh! Nobody likes a thief. Even thieves don't like thieves. Here's hoping that everybody gets their problems resolved.

He's offering to send me a money order now to replace my items... I assume he is still trying to scam me?

How should I go about this? Should I contact his local police first or the post office? What do I say? I still have the E-cig cartridges he sent me. Just looking for some guidance

If the offer will pay what he owes you in full, go for it. If it is insufficient, that's one more item in the Postal Inspectors case.

Let him send you a money order to replace them. If it's no good then turn him in for wire fraud also.

No, it could be counterfeit. That's why you take it to the post office and tell them it came from a scammer and could they please check if it is good.

I say go for it Rhyno37, worse that can happen is its fake and then like Karda said you've got him for wire fraud as well, which is a federal offense. If he is a career con-man that should put him away for a while.

You mean take it to a bank? If so, good deal, my mom is a manager at a bank. Wire fraud is a pretty serious charge isn't it? That should get the authorities involved.

Done. Hopefully he actually sends a money order and not some other crap.

Rhyno37, request it to be a USPS Money Order. As Esav mentioned, they can check it there at the post office without you having to wait and see if it clears or bounces at the bank.
