Help......Need gun ideas

Think that's a PRIMO idea ..... Actually jealous.....

Deal popped up that was too good to pass up. This year has been expensive for boom sticks I don't need

The gist of this is that Marlin has addressed their QC problems. That is what I have been hearing from my Local Gun Shop too. I do not like the Henry at all and am looking forward to hunting the first year rifles are allowed (since there have been game laws anyway) with my American Classic....Marlin 1895 .45-70.

Marlin has addressed a lot of the QC issues, a lot has to do with new employees getting the hang of things. I've been pulling 1894 44 mags out of boxes that actually have a decent to nice looking stock on them and the recoil pads are fitted decently (not like anything Remington has been making the past 5 years).

Marlins biggest issue, is that they're owned by Freedom Group. And FG can screw up anything from a cold glass of water to a wet dream. They know how to fubar things and fubar them well

Anybody have any experience with Cimmarron? Are they just Uberti under a different name? They make some beautiful looking stuff, just curious if the performance is there.

Garth

They are an importer with uberti's and others marketed under their name, they however are generally the pick of the best. They also import from Pedersoli, and various Chinese makers of the various shotguns, 1878, 1887, 1895 ect. I'm not sure who makes the winchester 1892 clones, but uberti does most of the pistols, and other lever guns.

My understanding about Cimmarron is that they import the Italian pieces, then fine tune the innards and clean up the outards.
(not that Uberti does a bad job, but a little bit of internal polish goes a long ways)

Last I knew they were or are uberti's and like others have said have been tuned up. I love my uberti 357 cattleman fit, finish, trigger everything is great about it so a cimmaron must be pretty darn nice. I've also been told the Beretta stampead is just a slicked up uberti and Beretta owns them I have no idea if this is true as I'm new to the cowboy style single action revolvers but hope it helps.

Depends on what you want... Are you looking for fun, long range, pistol, a show stopper? This is about a want, not a need... So, what do you want? A few ideas:

It all comes down to what you want out of it. Think about that first, then you can go with the though. I've also done some pistol work for the guy (Tommy) who makes these bad boys:

I see happy switches and SBRs

Burnt Bronze Mega monolithich

And a CMT AR build that's left me idea-less....I've never seen something set up like that.

Guns and knives, knives and guns...I'm one happy girl when I read through this thread.

Spyderwire, all I can say is Holy Crap.

That is an amazing collection. I am green with envy.

I recently moved my family to Utah for a new venture, and what I did have, went away to make sure we had time, and money for equipment.... I have a pistol that is still in my name here, and the prototype (with the AR). This was all tiny in comparison to what I had once before. You get one gun to call yours no questions asked? I'd go with full custom eye catching badassness.... I get to make my own luckily... As Madmann said, if* you save your pennies, you're gona see something that you will want.

This is what I do. I'll leave the knives to Garth and the bunch down there, but the guns, well, I've got the guns.... The Mega has a Seekins ambi lower to go with it. I did the trigger, turned the barrel from a complete blank along with the threading, and chambering which was nice because I could match the bolt with the chamber, made the gas piston system (from O1 bar stock), and highly modified the carrier. It is chambered for 300 blk super. The CMT was having fun with what curly maple I had left from a full custom rifle build I did before. I had extra wood left over..... In the light where you can see the curl, it's awesome. Here is a better picture of that stock:
This is what the curly maple looked like naturally-

If everything goes right I should have the new toys in house next week. Been awhile since I treated myself to something so I may have went a bit overboard. But what the hell, cant take it with ya so might as well enjoy it now right?

Can never go wrong with a custom CZ like mine.

Good for <2.5 inch groups at 50 yards. Trigger rivals or bests some of the top custom 1911s out there.

Bonus pic from when I had an ammo stock pile. Nobody touches my brother's stuffed Nemo.
