HEST/F by Lionsteel

I can honestly say also I am thankful to live where the state & local laws are much, much, less restrictive. :)

Funny, handguns and knives are legal here and we have a fractional amount of the crime.

Congrats on the HEST!

I honestly don't know how you can do it day after day. Some places in the world should just be walled in and given occasional food and ammo drops.
Or, you could just decriminalize drugs and watch the crime rate plummet 90% within a month....

On topic, the HEST/F is a very well thought out little knife. Lovin mine!

not to open a giant can of worms but if you think all the problems with crime revolve solely around drugs you are SORELY mistaken... you would legalize cocaine, heroin, lsd ,crystal meth etc??? clearly you haven't thought this through or just want pot legalized

on topic: hey RYP did you get my suggestions for the hest? i told a few of my cop buddies and they are very interested :)

my glass breaker broke off , and I am not impressed with lock
they need to fix few bugs

How did the glass breaker break? Did you use it? What exactly don't you like about the lock? Just curious for more details. Thanks.

Got my two HEST/f last week. Been carrying them and have been very impressed with both. I use my production model for work and the LE for everything else.

I love the blade length to handle length ratio. A great working blade.

The HEST/f just disappears in the pocket. Can't even tell it's there. I wouldn't change the weight at all.

The only thing I would change would maybe change the pocket clip to a black one.:D

glass breaker just broke in two thread was left in backscpacer ( i guess heat treatment problem) I didn't use it , I replaced it with 3mm screw works fine .
.
lock is simply poorly designed , if you dont use roto -lock( or whatever they call it) you can close it by applying pressure on the back side of blade , no joke
I wish I could post a video

You have to post a video. It's a frame lock, how does it just close like that? And how did you break the glass breaker?

I've heard of a few issues that people have had with the framelock slipping... however I have an LE and a regular production and I don't have that problem with either of them.

After people brought this issue up, I tried many times on mine - both with forced pressure on the back as well as (a big no no) smacking the spine pretty hard off of a table, and it didn't budge. It locks up tighter than a bank vault for me.

I would call in your warranty and ship it back to have it repaired/replaced. After handling both of mine, I can say with certainty that not all of them are like that.

I banged the spine of my prodection HEST on a block of wood several times without the lock engaged and it didn't close.

The only problem with my knife is that the blade isn't 100% centered which really isn't a big deal.
