man the sterile one looks awesome... maybe you should make the sterile version a production version because of its awesomeness lol

yup. not sure what's the price of the production version but if it was $200 or less and came in all-black i'd seriously consider replacing my military with it as my edc.

Freshly packaged. The hookers yall have over there are better than the ones we have here. They have more teeth.

Too right mate, not always in the right order but all there. Tom probably has the best out of our 3 countries ;)

one heck of a folder
i love the green handle/grey blade one, looks just right
and the thickness..., well, that is what i call thick

It looks every bit as good as I hoped it would. I am looking forward to getting mine. :D:thumbup:

Someone had posted up they wanted a comparison shot of the HEST folder to the old Ontario RAT folder we designed. I also put a fixed blade HEST in the shot at the top.

The 1/4" hex slot really works good on this HEST folder. I'm carrying one of the protos now testing it as an EDC. Shon is also going to be doing some destructive testing on one of the folders within the next week. We shall see how it goes. I can say this though: this thing is solid and lock up is almost like a fixed blade

That's not the lanyard hole. That's the bit driver.

Pelton's been beatin the shit out of his prototype in the Asian jungle for the past couple of weeks. He reported in a few days ago and said it is holding up well.

Looks sweet, not too much into production knives, but I'm gonna buy one of these.
Nice lookin EDC ,hope the final B.L. is a 3.5 or a little larger...

thanks
crazy roger

So the detent ball is not for reducing wear on the titanium framelock from contact with the blade once in the opened position, forgive my ignorance as i do not know that much about folders, so what is the function of the " detent ball "?.

The main purpose of the detent ball is keep the blade in close position.
There is an hole in the blade, when you close the blade the ball go inside the blade's hole and keep the blade close.

The other purpose is reduce wear on the Titanium framelock from contact with the blade when you open and clode the blade.

Are you going to put up pics of it after its been destroyed? Im interested to see how long it holds up. And is this going to become a production knife at any point? Sorry if these have already been answered.
