But walking on the glacier with just socks on his feet is borderline nuts!
I have only seen Ep2.
I was surprised to see Cody standing on a glacier in shorts, then they tell us he doesn't wear shoes

He seemed to do quite well moving in the snow wearing socks though.
What really surprised me was seeing them plunge into the stream - that water is snow melt and it is really cold. It made me shiver to watch them get wet and then they mention that there isn't much daylight left - cold and wet in the evening doesn't sound like much fun. I've dived in similar water in the middle of the day in Summer when I was really hot - a 1 minute dip and you are cooled down nicely.
Some interesting stuff though like using the sock to catch an eel and using flax to make cordage. Flax has been used for cordage before of course - the Maori used it a lot. Actually flax must be one of the best plants to use - that stuff is really strong and fibrous, great for many tasks.
