Yes, those changes where first released on the KW 204P Exclusive last summer. Then the 52100 Sprint had them, and next up the S110V version. The changes to the stop pin, pivot assembly, hardware, clip and lanyard are all welcome changes!

Wasn't going to buy one, but I'll spring for one at that price.

I think the M4 Ti Millie was ~$220 back when, and had a Black G-10 scale instead of the carbon fiber.
 
Its full carbon fiber. I have 2 of them and you can see the weave pattern on the sides and on the inside of the scales.

Im tempted to buy a 3rd, but the responsible adult in me says that I have no need for it.

It's full cf. Peel ply Is a method of making composite materials. It uses a matrix of dots/holes to remove excess epoxy from on the top layer. When cured it gives it this awesome texture for grip.

Your thinking of another model that's g10 with cf layer on top which may have also been peel ply, but this model is absolutely just cf on the show side with a grippy texture on it.

How well are those two blades centered?
 
Both are absolutely perfect examples of the model. Out of the box they were dead centered, solid lockup, and the lockbars engage right at 50%. They swung free if you fully disengaged the bar, but I tigtened them up a smidge to allow them to break in and not have any issues with lockup.
