Yep. My issue with my skinny slicer aside, the blade is actually fantastic compared to a regular Hinderer. This is how they should all be.Thinner bladestock and superior thinness behind the edge makes the Skinnys vastly superior at....cutting stuff.
That looks really good with the WF and black hardware! Nice!View attachment 1170812
I’ve shared this pic a few times before. Hinderer does a sweet job with the two tone finish. It looks even better in person.
You already have the perfect skinny anyway!I’d like to have one but I seriously don’t need anymore high dollar knives, and it might just be me but I don’t think it’s a real real Hinderer without a choil. Just my opinion, but damn those new skinny’s are hot!!
Thank you brother! It is a fantastic user for sure. You already have the perfect skinny anyway!I know yours sees more mileage than most, and it keeps looking better with age
It slices quite well for me relative to a PM2 wearing factory edge bevels. The PM2s I’ve checked have been thicker BTE than Skinny Slicers (by at least .005”). I’m sure there are people who will say otherwise, and I may get flamed for calling it how I see it, but the PM2, as it comes from the factory, is not that great a slicerCould someone please share yuor experience of slicing with xm-18 3.5" skinny slicer vs Spyderco PM2? Lets say the steel is m390/204p/20cv for both so that variable is eliminated. I just want to know where the slicing performance of this hinderer sits. Thanks.
+2. My Skinny Slicer slices just as good as a PM2. Spyderco makes some wicked slicers though that’s for sure.It slices quite well for me relative to a PM2 wearing factory edge bevels. True that! I had an Urban K390 that was an absolute laser+2. My Skinny Slicer slices just as good as a PM2. Spyderco makes some wicked slicers though that’s for sure.

Thinner behind the edge than any PM2 I've ever heard of by about .005" as noted above, with thinner stock and a similar primary bevel angle to the PM2 when at the highest portion of the grind. Gonna be a LONG time before we see the dedicated Skinny hardware bits me thinks.
Wish he’d do a run of Skinny-specific black and WF right now.
