Hinderer Skinnys

Had to go two tone. Anyone else nabbing one?

I was sweating that one too. Nice move! I went WF with a battle blue lock side

I love Hinderer's stonewash so I went with the blue black G10 (apparently the first one to sell out). If I went for a two tone it would've been the battle gray. DLT said that Stonewashed DLC (full and two tone) is about two weeks out.

I’d like to have one but I seriously don’t need anymore high dollar knives, and it might just be me but I don’t think it’s a real real Hinderer without a choil. Just my opinion, but damn those new skinny’s are hot!!

You already have the perfect skinny anyway! :) I know yours sees more mileage than most, and it keeps looking better with age

Could someone please share yuor experience of slicing with xm-18 3.5" skinny slicer vs Spyderco PM2? Lets say the steel is m390/204p/20cv for both so that variable is eliminated. I just want to know where the slicing performance of this hinderer sits. Thanks.

It slices quite well for me relative to a PM2 wearing factory edge bevels. The PM2s I’ve checked have been thicker BTE than Skinny Slicers (by at least .005”). I’m sure there are people who will say otherwise, and I may get flamed for calling it how I see it, but the PM2, as it comes from the factory, is not that great a slicer

+2. My Skinny Slicer slices just as good as a PM2. Spyderco makes some wicked slicers though that’s for sure.

Hinderer 3.5" Skinny is definitely thinner behind the edge and has thinner bladestock than the PM2. And as such it definitely is a superior slicer. That's been my experience as well (And I do love the PM2, esp my M390 one).

Thinner behind the edge than any PM2 I've ever heard of by about .005" as noted above, with thinner stock and a similar primary bevel angle to the PM2 when at the highest portion of the grind. It cuts well.

Gonna be a LONG time before we see the dedicated Skinny hardware bits me thinks.

Wish he’d do a run of Skinny-specific black and WF right now.

I’d like to see blue or bronze myself.

But what I really want are TI scales! Especially now for that WF/Two tone.

So are there any substitutions on the hardware that already exist for other knives?

The stand-offs on my XM18 3.0 (non-Skinny) might work for the 3.5 Skinny stand-offs? Maybe?
EDIT: I guess they won't or else the above diagram would've listed them?

Anything else?
