Holy Grail Everyday Carry?

I would not have my grail had my mother not bought it for me as a gift. I have owned knives that cost more, but in my current situation, it was beyond my means. Living at home, no job due to being too ill to work due to liver failure as some of you may know.

Now that I have obtained this grail knife, I'm done buying folders. I currently have no need for a fixed, and when I'm well enough, I'll get everything out of the pod, unpack and find my bk5.

Yes. I also saw the scenes where he had to go though a series of deadly tests to get to it.

He didn't just walk into Walmart with 10 bucks.

There was also only one right? They weren't pumping them out by the thousands in foreign factories.....

True. And choosing the right one was also difficult and fraught with peril.

So in the movie, while the Grail was simple, it was most definitely "something that you want very much but that is very hard to get or achieve".

Unlike, say, an Opinel, which is simple and quite trivial to get or achieve.

3.25" blade Griptilian. Basically I want a medium size in between the mini and large size. I'm guessing it will count to yalls "Grail" standards since it doesn't actually exist.

I already have it.
Large BG-42 Regular Sebenza.

Had plenty of customs, and still have some, have handled many at Blade since around year 2000, and I still prefer the Large Regular over anything I've ever held, or used.

Plus one on my buddy Ken here!!!!

These knives are amazing!!

For me it's one of those Starbenzas. I can afford it, but cannot justify it at this point. Or maybe I should put it this way, I can go get it right now, like have it in my possession in thirty minutes, but my wife would absolutely kill me for dropping north of four bills on a pocket knife, no matter how beautiful I think it is, or how high the quality may be. So the while it is readily available, the danger aspect is what makes it a grail knife for me. I'll have one though soon enough.

My grail is a Mini CQC-15 handmade by Mr Emerson.

My EDC is the production mini 15.
The handmades are out there, kinda pricy , but someday I will have one.

If I had a BM Rukus I would carry it as my Grail while in search of another Grail.

At this point I honestly do not have a single knife "holy grail" and am surprised so many people somehow already have theirs.

Front pocket would be Mnandi in fossil bark ivory and Damascus blade ...back pocket CRK 4 inch blade flipper that weighs 4 ounces (to replace my ZT 0452CF anodized lue)
.

Love that aerospace grade circuit board
It's interesting, I'd never seen the knife until July, and the design is not what I once thought of as a grail.

My original grail was an Alan Davis, fully customized to my specs. I had half the money when I was going to order it, as he said it would take at least six months. This was one month after I got married, no idea my wife would bleed me dry and put me into debt. Lost the money is saved and never ordered it.

When I saw this knife on the forums, it was lust at first sight. Forget the gold anodized Ti liners and file work, ironwood scales with black and gold M3 bolsters, etched/engraved Damascus blade, jeweled thumbstud. This was it. Now, after the kind and unexpected gift from my mother (for national knife day) I have this "grail." I didn't think I'd be able to save up the money for at least six months, with only disability coming in. Upon receiving this knife I have no interest or thought of any other knives. I'm done, unless I sell or trade one of my production knives.

Phil Boguszewski Mini Cobra, stainless Damascus blade and bolster, titanium liners and carbon fiber scales.

Guy lived up here in my neck of the woods, but didn't wait around long enough for me to build up the cash and order it from him.

There's a few out there, but I'll likely never get ahold of one now.

Awesome story, KOD!

I wish I had cool stories about my favorite knife, but I don't:( My knife-life is pretty boring...

Psssh, this guy.

You daily carry and thrash some of the nicest knives I've seen. I remember for awhile, pics of your Andre Thorburn and your first Rockstead were the main reason I went into the EDC thread every day.

Ok, I'll admit it.
I bought my Rockstead after winning $10,000 in a grizzly-bear-fighting tournament. I took third place, but the guy who took first edc's 2 rocksteads!

:D

At some point, I'll probably be ready to step up, possibly next year if I get some things taken care of. You'll be the first (well only, who are we kidding) person I PM with questions.

Grail? I'll say a Todd Rexford hot hammered Singularity. About as close as I'm getting to it is the ZT 0801 line. :)
