Everyone talks about sauteing, steaming, etc their asparagus, spinach, kale, and other greens. I have absolutely no idea how they taste that way because I can't eat them if they have been cooked in any manner at all, not one little bite.

As soon as any cooked version hits my tongue, gag and barf city.

Give'm to me straight out of the field, wash or beat the dirt off them and I can eat them til I'm stuffed like a tick.

I like a lot of those raw too. Overcooked green veggies suck big time. I like 'em cooked just enough to turn super bright green. As soon as the color starts to go drab you've wrecked 'em.

btw, I'm 5'9, and not massive of stature (though I rate a 3 on the ape scale, with an arm span of 6'...). I'd be unrecognizable at 250lb, holy cow. 160 looks big on me.

My Raider Bowie arrived yesterday from Doc (AverageIowaGuy) . Excellent looks wise and robust as Hell . It's hard to believe he's so new to the game.

That's about where I'm supposed to be bighoss, I'm about 25lbs over right now but hopefully I'll be there soon

Yeah, I'm like six pounds over, been that way for years. I can eat 5000 calories a day for a month and I don't gain anything, now I'm trying to get down to 6% body fat, and it's taking forever. If I eat so much as a bagel I shoot up a bunch.

Cooked or fresh out the field, i love me some veggies either way.

I prefer them NOT refrigerated though. Same with fruit. I much prefer it at room temp. Lots of fruits and veggies taste WAY better that way.

I know lots of people who like there watermelon straight out the fridge or freezer but IMO that almost ruins it. I sit mine in the sun for a couple hours before cutting it open. Plus i read they are more nutritious when warm.... But really i just think they taste sweeter.

BTW, this is a shockingly decent beer from a brand that mostly produces typical american crap lager: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/213/98707/
Having one now. And the brewer who formulated it is a local (to me), and seems like a decent fellow. Sure looks the part...

Oh, you guys will get a kick out of this: for YEARS, Yuengling has been unavailable in CT and RI. Well yesterday a friend at work spotted a plane towing a sign that said it's now available in Rhode Island. How's THAT for an announcement? I'd be more excited if I liked lagers.

Jerry D. Got any plans for the 4th. I see the indians are playing the Louisville bats that night.
You bet! The Indians are playing the Bats!
Hopefully you can pick up some tickets! If not, let me know what other game sounds good and we can make it happen.

don't worry, Kid, when you hit 23 those 5000 calories will go straight to your thighs.

An excess of carbs make your body create fat (and 'excess' isn't all that much). Trying to hit specific targets while you're young and your body is changing is an iffy business.

I like my watermelon with a bottle of vodka poured into it. Also, I haven't been anywhere near 150lbs since I was 13ish. I've always been a big person. I wrestled my junior and senior years in highschool as a heavyweight at around 230lbs.

I like my watermelon juiced and mixed with coconut 'juice'. HOLY WOW. SERIOUSLY. NEED I SHOUT SOME MORE?

My senior year in high school I was 140lb on the varsity rifle team. :D

Hey murph, is that Thompson a repro or original?

Also does anyone have a bk5/7 sheath they are willing to get rid of?

My Dad wrestled 87-90 in 8th grade, he wrestled 130-132 his Freshman year. :D I've been 115 for about three years now, We'll see.

I've never even heard of doing that. I was going to grab a watermelon today when we were shopping, but forgot about it.

Yeah I'm 16, 6'4" and weigh about 275, needless to say I'm always going to be a big guy

yep, no escaping that, but at that height you don't want to be a lightweight. cut out starches and soda and it will be all muscle.

Im 5'8" and right at 150 pounds right now. I have never been over 155 pounds but normally sit around 145-150. When i joined the army i only weighed 130!!

I prefer to use Captain Morgan. Cut a hole in the rind, bore down a ways and then pour a bottle in and put the rind plug in, put in the refrigerator overnight. Perty good eatin'. :D:D:D
