Well...I'm down one big blade, the BHK Machete. Hoping the zombie apocalypse doesn't happen now. It is now becoming a slew of Godspeed! Goodness. The BK16 is gone....in exchange for another BK7. Doesn't seem right to only one 7 and two hands....Now the waiting game: 11 days and a wake up till the next big blade bonanza...

Man I am just itchin to get outside. The weather had been crazy this past week, mostly rain. Today was beautiful and of course I was swamped with things to do. I know where I can pick one up used, is it hard to take apart to strip the blade? The coating is pretty wore, would look better stripped

It's up to you, but I don't care for autos. I had one from Iraq that a soldier traded me brand new. I gave him a new Marine bayonet and he gave me the auto and a fifth of Wild Turkey. I gave the AS to my dad. I have a standard Stryker that I love.

Just so you all know I'm still alive, well mostly. I'm still getting things all straightened out and figured out. Things are still hectic around here.

Does is make sense to strop (with compound) on a knife with a V-edge? Since it's not a convex edge?

Also for those of you with a Work Sharp, do you still use a strop or just the ultra fine belt?

I'd like to try stopping on a legit strop, but I'm wondering if I'd have a need once I eventually get a Work Sharp.....
