Looks like a decent bottle and cup. I like that its 32oz too. I might have to order the set sometime in the future.

Right now I think I'm going to order a few of the 32oz widemouth Nalgene bottles. Anyone know where I can find aftermarket lids for the Beckerhead bottles and the Nalgene bottles? Something that makes it so you don't have to take the lid off all the way to get a drink?

Innate makes a flip top lid that fits em.

Guyot Designs, the people that originally made the stainless nalgene bottles, are supposedly bringing back the Gription at some point, but to be honest, I think the company will close down long before that happens. I have had one on back order for the last year and a half and they still haven't managed to get anything even close to the point of being able to say when they might be available.

local store guy suggested an "octopus" setup. big hook, plastic worm slid on the middle. similar to that beetle thing.

the one i used is a rapala "broke back" jointed floating thingy. damn if those trout didn't strike it like it was crack or something.

will have to try it over by lilly pads later (and pray to not lose it)...

Thats why I like beetlespinners, they are about as cheap as u can get in the lure world. IIRC they are less then a buck apiece at wally world. So when (and it is a when not an if) u lose a lure...it dont hurt as bad lol

So, is this place going to be desolate this weekend? I'm already itching to see new videos of the gathering, since I can't get there this time around!
 
I promised Erik, Derek (or somebody) I would post some pics of the mini gas forge I made. So here it is. Works quite well and have made several knives with it. I was hoping to bring it to the gathering, sorry it didn't work out.
If anybody wants the particulars on how to make one you can PM me.

I need to place an order for a tackle*&%$ forge knife. How does one go about that?


Btw do we a mascot? Like some other knife companies have theirs, busse especially, so do we have one?

Is it a beard? A biscuit? A honey badger?

Clich, you're on the list. A mascot would be nice. I'm thinking that would make good contest material.....

I thought Moose was our mascot? Im gonna be disappointed if I show up and he aint wearing a Moose mascot suit at Ethan's!
