Horsewright Knives and Leather

Yep a great pic!

Our friends Grant and Jessica were over the other day to ride with us. Both were sporting their new Horsewright knives. Both knives were from this last batch too. Jessica has this Gordo:

Grant would be in the shop visiting and this Paisano was calling him. He'd pick it up and put back and pick it up again and then next time he was over same thing:

Here's a couple new ones that just hit the website. A Vaquero in AEB-L stainless with a white turquoise spacer and black sheephorn handle. It has a roughout Horizontal sheath.

And this lil Poco also of AEB-L steel and with a Bocote handle. It comes with a Slotted Sheath. I've made a tether for the sheath so it can attach to belt loop like one of our Buckaroo pouch. Turns this Slotted sheath into a pretty good pocket sheath. The tether is attached to the sheath with a Chicago screw for easy removal. Once removed the sheath is ready for belt use. The tether when in use helps to hold the sheath in place in the pocket.

Here's a lil video showing how it works.

The video also shows the great retention that this sheath has. It was filmed with a prototype tether. I've modified it slightly, a lil more robust and a lil shorter so there isn't all that extra slack in it that is in the video. Whadya guys think?

Great discreet carry 👍
Nice 1 Dave.

I sure like it, Dave!!! I'm usually a folder guy, but I have two of your fixed blades!!
Good deal Charlie. I remember that California Coyote I made you some years back.

Had an interesting email from a friend yesterday. He'd bought a small knife collection and noticed one of mine in there, a Paisano.. Ben my friend has a very early version of the Paisano and so he recognized the model right away. He just used it on a turkey hunt:
