Horton Knives....FIREARMS CHAT THREAD 3

Change the recoil spring every 5k.

I dunno I'm not sold on Gen 4 yet - some work some don"t while Gen 3 are proven but current Gen 3's are fitted with Gen 4 extractors so you might run into extraction / ejection issues.

Any of you guys owns a C model?
Will be nice to see some pics and comp if its possible.

I still have some time to decide 'till my permit gets through,,, that'll be a few months probably,,,

Juan, I was thinking of buying the G19C, but then I thought I'd better stick to what I carry at work,,, if you're used to shooting with a compensator and all of a sudden you find yourself in a sticky situation and have to fire the same weapon without a compensator, I think that'll throw of your aim,,,

The c models are fun, but a lot of flash at dusk or night. Buy what you carry at work, if you want consistency. I'm no huge glock guy, I prefer 1911s, but for the price and uber reliability they are hard to beat out of the box. Hell, I keep one in the truck...

You guys are right, I'm just curios about the C models.

I'm more of HK, Sig fan, but like James said, they are hard to beat.

Well here she is finally, mini draco goodness. Only one small problem, the Disconnector spring was somehow lost in the 5 month wait. Now I have to order another, so close,,, :(

The issues have been with the new style recoil springs having dimensional issues.
It's already been fixed in the newest models and contacting Glock will get any issues fixed for ya!

Received bill for my G19 permit request today,,, 92.72 Euro (+- $125us) ,,, and that's just for them to begin the procedure,,, permit could still be denied (but very unlikely in my case),,, now the waiting game begins :D

ps: I'll probably go with the GEN3, since that's the model currently in use at my job and I don't see a real earth-shatering improvement in the GEN4 for me personally,,,

What do people think of the Bushnell TRS-25 for a budget red dot sight ? Would it suit my needs to fit it on the G19 Carbine conversion RONI kit ? thoughts ?

Aimpoint is the only red dot I trust.

I have Eoterch 512 on my 9mm AR but that was before I discovered Aimpoint.

@Pauli: Aimpoint is waaaaaay out of my price range,,, I mean, the G19 is going to cost me 600 Euro, the permit 92,72 Euro, the RONI Kit 500 Euro,,, that's well over 1000 Euro right there,,, can't swing another 500 Euro or so on a red dot,,, so was looking at a budget red dot max. 100 Euro,,, not like I'm going to the battle field or anything alike,,, from what I've seen in reviews, the Bushnell is a good budget red dot,,, just looking to see if anyone here has any good or bad experiences with it, can't trust the online reviews all the time, right,,,

I need a long gun and have decided on a shotgun. I was all ready to get a Saiga 12 but from what I've been reading you need to add about another $350 to get them reliable. I am thinking Benelli Supernova Tactical with the comfortech stock. I am looking for opinions before I pull the trigger (pun intended). I am already aware of the lack of aftermarket for the Benelli models. I am going for the factory ghost ring sites then just a mag extension, light mount and sling, thats it. Thanks for any and all advice.

Lots of 870's around Squish, and lots of aftermarket for them too.

I like Benelli too, but have no experience with the Supernovas, but the M1, M2, M3, and M4 are super nice shotguns. You can find used M1's for around $750
