Horton Knives....FIREARMS CHAT THREAD 3

^Thanks mang,,,

@Truk: so other then dampen the noise, they don't improve your aim or anything, right ? I don't mind wearing ear protection when shooting, so am glad I'm not missing out on too much :)

Nope, they don't improve your aim. But, they can enhance the accuracy of your gun,,, ;)

Ah, they really do ? Didn't know that,,,, gosh, lousy aim that I have probably wouldn't improve much any way,,, LOL !

Picked up a Sig p238 a couple of days ago, and my D.M. Bullard pocket holster arrived this morning.

Today I'm getting the permit and tomorrow is gun-shopping day !

2.5 months waiting on a permit for a plain jane 9x19mm G19 handgun, so stop complaining California, Massachusetts and New York ! :p

ps: ,,,and that's not a CC permit I'm talking about, it's a permit to simply own the gun !

Darned, the G19 wasn't in the shipment,,, now I have to wait another week,,, oh well, all good comes to those who wait, I guess,,,

Hey Chibbi, I think you should become a drug dealer! Then you'll get to own G19, automatic rifles, machine guns and even grenades, without having to ask any fucking government for permit!

And I was pissed that I got delayed for a day (technically less than 24 hours). Sorry to hear that...

Hey guys,

Ive got a few questions for you about some ar15 accessories.
Basicly im looking to buy my first ar and the place im looking
At has a few "upgrades" I can add on to the rifle as I said I've
Never owned a ar15 before but have had a few ak's and sks's
I do own a few handguns such as a hk usp 45, ruger redhawk
In 44 mag and a kahr cw40 !... So the ar im looking at is a colt
6920 ( G and R tactical has them for $945 right now ) and I
Know colt is gtg along with daniel defense, lmt, bcm and others
So my question is now that ive decided on the rifle I want what
Should I add to it to make it " better" and more reliable ?
Here is what im looking to add so far 1) bcm gun fighter mod 4
Charging handle 2)battlecomp flash suppresor 3)geissele ssa
Trigger 4) noveske qd receiver plate also later on I do plan on
Adding a daniel defense omega rail to it ! All said and done this
All will be about 1300 out the door which is my budget ! So what
Do you guys think ?

Frank

Also do any of you guys have any experience with the
Bcm gun fighter charging handle and the battlecomp
And the geissele ssa trigger ? If so what are your thoughts
About good bad any and every thing will help

Frank

The gunfighters are nice, especially if you have a scope. I have an Omega-X on one of my AR's, I like it a lot. Thinkin about putting a Battlecomp on an AK, they are pretty spendy though. They are supposed to control the muzzle climb pretty well,,,

From what i hear the battlecomp is a good value
For what it does ! And compared to the triple tap
It aint that pricey and i hear it works better also
If your interested there is a 80 plus page thread
About the battlecomp on m4carbine.net !

Frank

Frank,
Sounds like you did your homework. I can't say anything bad about your set up. I purchased one of the battlecomps for my XCR 223 barrel, I like it. good luck w/ the new rifle.

Mishman,

Yes sir ! For this past year ive been trying to learn all
I can about the ar-15 until I narrowed to dowm to
Three brands colt,daniel defense,and lmt... But I
Found a good deal on the colt so ill go with that !
I realy dont think you could go wrong with these
Three brands ! ...

Frank

LaRues are awesome, but not in that price range at all. The Colt at sub 1k is a good deal. The Battlecomps work as advertised, as does the Triple Tap. I have both, the Knights seems more effective, but certainly NOT three times the price better. I run BCM charging handles on everything. Giessele triggers are among the best out there. I am hankering to try an AR Gold, but I havent started another build, yet. Daniel Defense rails are outstanding, as are Troy and LaRue. You have made sound decisions so far, sir. Good luck and enjoy the rifle.

Range day. Put a cheap mil-dot on the Bison, working on getting my drops. Tryin to reach out there a bit more with subs. Ran out of adjustment at 250 yds. 240 gr XTP's drop like a rock,,, :D

New rail on the mini flame thrower,,, ;)
