I got mine at JS Burly. It was about $4 cheaper there for the M60 and shipping.

M60 drop-in should be here Monday. Can't wait to see the difference.

There may be something "wrong" with me.

I am a laser physicist with training in advanced and modern optics. Yet, I seem to prefer piddly little lights (85 - 100 lumens) for many hours over robust, "manly" lights (500+ lumens) for a few minutes.

Do I need to seek professional help?;)

No, that's just your practical, common sense talking. ;)

There are a lot of threads like this on Candlepower forums. Do a search, you can read for hours. All kinds of recommendations. I would think a Surefire with one of the Malkoff drop-ins would be fine. Just decide if you need throw, or flood. Maybe one of each, one for outdoor throw, and a flood for lighting up interiors of cars or kicking in doors. :)

ETA: Forgot they made flip open Beam diffusers for more flood. So only one light would really be needed. :o

Fenix TK-11/TK-12 are a nice lights. More of a spot beam though, not a lot of spill.

You already lost me......drop in.....malkoff....spill........

The extent of my knowledge of lights goes as far as a surefire E2e and another similar piece, both I got in trade...........I know less than nothing.

I guess I will spend a few hours and read up on them, thanks for the links.

Just promise me you guys will stage an intervention if I buy more than 2 lights!!!!

Malkoff drop in, nice and bright. Just replaces the stock bulb assembly with a bright LED assembly.

M60 has a pretty bright hot spot, kind if like your E2E only white and brighter.

M60F does'nt have a hot spot, it's a flood light. But really only good for close range stuff.

Wheres all the flashaholics at tonight? Give Officer Gravel a hand,,,:)
