Surefire 6P with M60 Malkoff drop in.

Or a Quark 123.

Ok I am over my head with some of the post above.

Whats the best place to get this Pauli and how do you get it to 2000 lumens?

How much you talking?

thanks

Trevor - You can purchase the Surefire 6P from any vendor - Battery Central is good.

Then purchase a drop in from Malkoff. That will give you 235 Lumens out of your 6P for about $170 including the cost of the flashlight.

To get 2000 lumens you need to be creative ;) or wait till my M6 is back from Milkyspit.

For what you paid I would say it was an incredible deal.

Bear and Brian....Thanks !!

Bear,
I just got the mini quark in the mail, less than an ounce, one cr123, 3 lumens, 40 lumens, 189 lumens and about the size of my thumb.
Compared to my surefire L2 at 100 lumens this thing really throws the light with a tighter beam and is also much brighter. Very cool.

Brian,

I acquired the GoingGear Cree MC-E 700 lumen head for my ''M'' series surefire. This takes it from 250 lumens incandescent to 700 lumens LED. It is..... phenomenal! Excellent construction, solid and o-ring sealed.

Thanks alot guys, I would have missed both without your input.

Help quick!!! cool white light or neutral white light.whats the difference in terms a chickenplucker can understand?

the cool has the blue tint and will appear brighter. But a lot of folks like natural, it tends to be easier on the eye

M60 arrived.

Night and day. I'll try to get some beam shots this weekend.

The Natural/Neutral is "like" daylight (I don't like it though). I prefer the Cool because it is brighter (up to 20%) and IMO chrisper, and it is what I'm used to. I was talking to Gene Malkoff, and he said most people lean to whatever their first bright LED was.

Here are some beam shots. I took these with my camera in a tripod (so I got the exact same shot for comparative purposes) with the flash turned off.

The indoor shots (below) are taken from approximately 8 feet away as I shone the Surefire 6Z flashlight onto the blankest wall I could find in my house.

First the Surefire bulb assembly...

And then the M60 drop-in...

With the M60, the entire room was noticeably brighter.

Then I went to my backdoor (it's raining tonight) and shot the light up into a tree about 30-35 feet away. Here's the Surefire...

And here's the M60...

You can see the M60 drop-in adds a much more intense, more clearly defined white beam. For me, it was well worth the $60, especially considering the durability that this new LED assembly is supposed to add.
