That 6Z sits in a Lockbox with a couple of pistols. My Glock has a tac-light on it, but I have a Ruger that requires a hand-held light--thus the 6Z.
After seeing the 200+ lumens though, I now want one for my vehicle. I think I'm going to pick up a 6P somewhere and get another drop-in.

and thus the addiction starts - I'm on the same path Guyon![]()
Nice review and pics Guyon -
If you already have a 6P or can get a deal on one, the Malkoff is a no brainer, and durable.
I wonder how the Quark 123x2 (230 lumen) stacks up against the 6P combo in the long run - I have the AAx2 version and it is pretty nice. Not quite as bright as the 123, but for the price - these are good lights.
Guys, what's a good price on a 6P original? I see them going on the 'bay for around $50. In fact, I'm watching a few of those auctions now. $50 +$60 = $110 for a pretty powerful light in a good strong body. That seems like a decent deal.
Hey Guys, rather than read 40 pages of posts, can you all recommend a good flashlight that will not be used for a gun? I have two needs:
1. A big light around the house that can double up as a defense tool.
2. A strong but not massive light to bring outdoors.
I have a Surefire E2L Outdoorsman, and I like it. But I'd like to get another larger light.
I really appreciate any help you flashlight aficionados can give me.
