How many knives do you carry daily?

Home/around town: I generally carry 3 my sebbie, a harder use folder like my minimanix and a Vic Camper because its just so darn usefull and has my keys

At school, which is the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech), where I'm going for mechanical engineering, I carry just the seb and my SAK.

It depends on the season (winter means more pockets!), location and what I'll be doing that day.

In the city my minimum is a one hand opening folder and a SAK. Lately I've started carrying a second one hand opener clipped to my left pocket. Add a traditional slipjoint, and that brings the total up to 4. If it's cold and I'm wearing a jacket I add a knife in each pocket (so that's 6 knives). It has nothing to do with needs, I just have a hard time deciding what to carry each morning.

Outdoors weight is more of an issue and I don't usually carry folders other than SAKs and multitools. I usually just carry a medium sized fixed blade and a SAK or multitool. If I think that the weight is justified I add a machete, axe or kukri.

I started with one folder. Moved to a folder and a fixed on the belt and lately its been two folders.

Sm. Sebenza
Sm. Sebenza + izula
Sm. Sebenza + Acies

I might have to try out all three and see how it goes...

4 knives as my normal edc. Also a Utilikey on my keychain, and a credit card knife in my wallet, but those don't count as real knives do they?

well, I did a little counting and found 6 !!! if it weren't for this thread I'd never knew I was 'knifed' to such a degree :D

(almost) all of them are Spydercos
- 440V SE Military - RFP
- Manix 2 - RLP - for testing against Millie in EDC chores
- Cricket - clipped inside wallet
- S35VN Mule - inside backpack
- Ladybug - on keychain

plus
- Vic Swiss Tool Spirit on belt

I also EDC an ASP 21' riot stick

I mostly carry 1 or 2 knives in my pocket (or belt sheath).
But when i am out i have a swiss card in my wallet with al very little fixed blade. And when a carry my keys with me there's a sak on the key chain.
So sometimes this would mean 4 knives.

At work,
2 Sanrenmu in pocket
1 SAK OH Sentinel in pocket
1 stripped Sanrenmu in wallet
1 SAK Spartan Lite in bag
1 chinese copy of ASP 21. Good quality, though not up to original.

at home: 1 to 3 depending on mood, from above minus the bag, baton & wallet stuff

I carry usually Leatherman style multitool (Victorinox Spirit Carver X in this case) with one hand opening folder and slipjoint. Vic Signature Sapphire hangs on my keys. Past weeks my EDC has been Vic spirit + BM M4 Doug Ritter Mini-Griptillian / Spyderco UKPK orange and Queen small Dan Burke Barlow / Northfield 250109

So I carry 3 + Multitool

haha, thats great.

I carry 2 usually. Sebenza in left pocket, and a spyderco/benchmade of some sort in by back right pocket.

Also have a little CRKT PECK on my keys. its handy for opening letters, cutting boxes/tape.

Surprising how many carry multiples...I always carry one in city, two in country (folder/fixed).

2. Vic Explorer and a Syderco Endura FFG
If I'm going bushwhacking, I'll usually have something from the ESEE lineup on my belt and a pliers based multi-tool to replace the SAK. The endura goes everywhere though :D

I usually carry 2, a locking folder (Caly 3 usually) clipped to the right front, and a Slippie in my left front.

If you count the Vic Alox Cadet on my keyring that makes 3.

Two at a time. One is a largish folder probably best described as a "tatical-style" knife, while the other is a medium sized slipjoint.
