How should Collector Knives sell GEC SFO's

Do you think it had anything to do with the frenetic pace at which folks were trying to enter? 5 minutes is a very short time frame and perhaps the frantic efforts to enter within the designated window was just too much. Not really sure what the solution would be... A larger time window increases the pool of entrants, reducing the chances for everyone, a shorter window creates overwhelming chaos and causes everything to crash.

I narrowed it to 5 minutes specifically to force everyone there simultaneously. There will be many more going for the real draws as soon as the text arrives - than the little GAW's.

I'm not a huge fan of the random draw idea. I am not someone who would buy all the covers, but I do think following the progress and looking it for the texts and just straight up old fashioned being quicker and more committed is the only real version of "fairness". I think the random draw is best for those who are interested in traditionals right now as a trend. But again I think that Mike is truly and genuinely trying to find the best way to do it and I really appreciate that.

I've been wanting another 77 for a couple years, but I have mixed feelings about the random draw. I'd want every user to get a fair chance at one, but what this is basically entering & winning a contest for the privilege of purchasing a product. I don't have the answer.

No worries, Mike.
I'm confident a solution will present itself eventually.

(I can take several off your hands now to reduce the burden ... Haha kidding)

What if different time zones (by area code) got different notifications... to split up the server load Into smaller bits and avoid the huge push. Since it all goes into a random drawing, there's no need to respond in 5 seconds... or even in the same notification group

Same here, nada.

*edit, site apparently loaded after the 10 minute limit passed and left this message.

I got a "Thank you for your entry", so it might have gone through.

I got to the random picker page, entered my email. Hit save and after a long wait....error.

EDIT: tried again, said i was already entered.

Finally got in on one browser tab. The other browser tab produced a RandomPicker crash message.

I could enter but it never progressed on the submit status and then boinked out.

Edit: went thru at 17:38 CST

Cool! Got through. You guys are fast. I clicked the link wikthin 10 seconds of receiving it

OK, I managed to enter the second drawing. It took a few tries, when the page timed out and said to reload.
I hope I didn't accidentally enter more than once.
